I hate the ACTIVA checkout system that some sellers use....and I hate sellers who use more space to spell out their RULES to BUYERS than they use to describe the item they are selling.

PROJECT RUNWAY is a reunion show (have they done this in previous years?). I'm looking forward to seeing Jack again and hearing about him. As for the rest, hearing them snipe about one another really isn't my idea of a good time.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm guessing when Emeril Lagasse appears on "Martha Stewart" in a few minutes that they'll be "officially" announcing that Martha is buying/has bought Emeril's cookware line.  -They're both carried at Macy's, so I guess they won't have to transfer over the shelf-stock. ;)

I actually still like eBay.  Having done so much of my Farmer research in libraries with microfiche, etc., eBay was like a wonderland when I first found it years ago, with troves of pictures, etc., that I had never seen before.  I'm still occasionally pleasantly surprised (as with that weird Tamiroff pic from a week or so ago).  And I still manage to find bargains--just got Raymond Khoury's new book for a couple of bucks, and another book I had looked at, "The Secret History of the World," for $5.00 (list price $30).

As for e-Bay... I used it for one transaction years ago, and just last year I finally discontinued my membership.  Of course, that process took a couple of months to complete. Yes, there used to be some deals on e-Bay, but I have too many friends who have been ripped off via e-Bay, and I got sick of all the spoof e-mails from "e-Bay" and "PayPal".

My favorite "Will & Grace" of all time was the one where Jack had an "eBay nemesis."  I loved that episode.

I have been on a Cal Tjader kick lately.  I'm listening to his album of eastern tunes orchestrated by Lalo Schifrin.

Well I do buy regularly from EBAY - as DR JMK (who I met through EBAY, likewise DR MBARNUM) - and see things that are very interesting, even if I don't purchase.

And now and then I buy a BOOK LOT of used books for the store for $25 or $30 to keep the shelves full of interesting things.  Now and then a more valuable book comes in those boxes....including the SIGNED FIRST EDITION FIRST PRINTING copy I got a couple of weeks ago of Mr Frank Edwards book on Strange Things.  If you don't know who Frank Edwards is, well, it won't matter.  But 50 years ago, he was THE writer on the paranormal - before it was the NORM.

DR Jennifer - Josiah has made the rounds of "Access Hollywood", "Extra", etc., here in the states.  He has now revealed his mother's fight with cancer, and how he wants to make her proud before she dies.

He was also on "Ellen", and she gave him $8,000 worth of musical equipment, and, apparently, some real estate company is trying to set him up with some real housing (instead of his car)...  I'm sure if you go to each program's websites and/or YouTube, you should be able to find the clips of his appearances.

I may be totally misreading him, but, right now, he seems to be really playing into being in the spotlight.  His tears still seem genuine, but that English-inflected Tennessee accent is really getting annoying.  -To me at least.

So you can blame DRJMK for bringing me here, and you can blame me for bringing DR MBARNUM....the rest of the world is someone else's responsibility....prolly DR JOSE.

Only if it's a girl.

Nemebro, on the other hand, just sounds dumb.

I've been called in to work.  Someone must've called out.

Time to go pay for the cat food.

Heading down now to straighten up some clothes, check the mail, and then start on lunch preparation. Then, it's back to the infinitely long TV version of THE LAST EMPEROR.

We had all good experiences on e-bay. Purchasing other things online is a different story. Like the Dell notepad thing DR Sandra posts from sometimes....

Everywhere I go, I seem to be in someone's way. So I sat myself in a corner and looked through / shredded old papers.

I hate papers.

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"

What is one of the corniest lines ever spoken in a movie starring Jerry Ohrbach looking embarrassed at every turn?

I love Ebay. I love Ebay. I love Ebay.

Sure there are sellers who say "rare," even though it is a reprint of a photo of John Wayne that is being sold in 15 other auctions for half the price...but heck, I have found great things on Ebay that I never woulda found otherwise.

I have had very few bad experiences on Ebay, and it may all depend a lot on what items you are looking for, but for me it is all good....except for the sellers who charge $10.00 for postage to mail a photo that really only costs .99 cents to mail.
