Question for Jrand and MBarnum:  Have either of you ever seen the original movie in 3-D?

One of the TV stations in Indianapolis aired 3-D movies a couple of times back in the early 1980s.  You could get 3-D glasses at 7-11s and other stores.

I quite enjoyed it!

DR JANE - the young picture in my post was Johnny Sheffield.  I couldn't a young picture of Ben, but he was quite handsome.

I don't think DRMBARNUM wrote that mini bio - I don't recognize the name signed to it, but who knows?

I didn't see a signature.  I'll go back and look.  Thanks for clarifying the photo.

JRand, thank you for the photo of the young and handsome Ben, as well as the personal info.

It still doesn't tell me if MBarnum wrote the mini bio (or is this your way of saying you did?).  It sound like our Mikey, especially this little comment: "One of nature's true gentleman."

Nope, I had no hand in Mr. Chapman's bio on IMDB.

Nope, I had no hand in Mr. Chapman's bio on IMDB.

I scrolled down and found the name, Bogie-24 would have tipped me off to that fact. ;D  It still sounds like something you would have written. :)

In High School, as a fund raiser, there was a showing of THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON in 3-D...it was great fun as I recall, and it seemed to be a hit at Phoenix High School.

Well, I finally did it.

I got the proper research done, and according to this here website, JJ's proper pronoun is "he."

It's something they didn't teach us at Burbank High.

As for the TOD:

Prior to my discovering TV Guide, as a kid I would look at the TV listings in the newspaper which gave only the title, no plot, for the movies that were to play in the coming days.

ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE was one film whose title caught my eye when I was in the second grade. I was fascinated by puppets, so of course I had to see this movie.

The rest is history.

That's the only time I saw it in 3-D, and what with wearing eyeglasses and all, it wasn't quite the same I am sure as seeing it in a theatre.

There are several interviews with both Sheffield and Chapman around on the net if you want to search.  Tom Hennessey also gave a good interview to Scarlet Street magazine a few years ago....he had some scandalous things to say about Clint Walker - especially since Tom's wife divorced him to marry his good friend Clint.  ::)

"Things They Didn't Teach at Burbank High" would make a great title for something.

ROTFLOL!  JJ must be a neutered cat if you had such a difficult time determining his sex.

Thanks for all the great birthday wishes.  Yes, I'm working, but we're having a good time singing songs about "love", as I was ill for Valentine's day.  I can't think of a better way to spend the day, HHW, school and a Seussical dress rehearsal.  It doesn't get much better than that.

Although, the DP is taking me to see the newest Cirque show "Kooza" on Sunday and lovely dinner in downtown San Jose.  That's something to look forward to.

In the meantime - Oh the thinks you can think!

Well, JJ is still fairly young.

And I really didn't know what to look for.  I'm so used to dogs.

And I did, after all, go to Burbank High.

I have never held a female kitten, so I wouldn't know whether there was anything tell-tale.  But I've been the adopted dad to a boy kitten and even when he was neutered, there wasn't any doubt as to his gender.

The celebration sounds like fun, DR MATTHEW.

My friend Adam saw the friend of DR NOEL in THE WEDDING SINGER and thought he was great....the show not so much.

I decided to be nice and skip that part, and the fact that JJ doesn't looks so young ;D
