Here's what I'll be wearing to the Oscar Bash on Sunday:

I didn't want any DRs not to be able to recognize me.

Wigstock, it's you!  I can totally see you wearing this and not being able to recognize you!

In my CD player right now:  Take Flight by Maltby and Shire.  After that will be "David Shire At the Movies."  BK has posted earlier that the theme from "Old Boyfriends" from "DSATM" is reused in Take Flight.  Does anyone know which song it became?

...And on the more "practical" side, getting today off (with pay!) and being able to take it easy today and nap this afternoon, really does seem to be helping me get better health-wise.  I tend to get a little sick when I'm "too busy", and between my trip to Memphis and then diving right into more auditions back here in NYC, well, I guess I was a little "busy".  ;)

So, DR Jose, tell me what New York City is like over Memorial Day weekend - quiet, busy?

I'm heading down now to (gag) mop the kitchen floor and then settle in with Sean Penn's INTO THE WILD.

I've done a bit of that this afternoon and suspected as much.  Might look at something earlier in May or even in April.

Any chance that Sunday in the Park with George might be extended past June 1?

From what I've heard, and from what I understand... There is a slim chance it could extend past June 1.  However, it would most likely extend without David Evans and Jenna Russell in the lead roles.

Well, while it's a little "dryer" outside, I think I'm going to bundle up and head out for a short walk - and probably forage for some dinner at the same time.

Bundle up, DR Jose!

It's almost time for me to join my skating partner, Sue, for our pairs routine over to our parking lot.

Bye for now!

Owned it for years and never watched it?  Skammen.
I watched it.  I tried to get der B to watch it.  He "didn't have time" at the time.

And, in spite of it all, we're still together.  Go figure.

DR RonP, i'm not so sure the baby would be considered a survivor. The posts i read on tvwithoutpity suggested they think not. And i did not think so either. Since the baby was not born when the plane crashed. however if they said they would say who the 5th of the oceanic 6 was, then maybe i am wrong.

If all goes well, it will be Robert Brown.
Ah, yes, Star Trek, "The Alternative Factor."

Can't say I cared for that episode.

Went shopping today.  We found a toy for JJ, some Chinese soup spoons, and much needed pants for me.  It would be a shame to go to work without those much needed pants.

Aside from that, I also picked up a few items for dinner tonight.  French Onion soup, a la Julia, and a crustless Quiche Lorraine, a la this month's Gourmet.

Better get cooking.

This will ranks as one of the most miserable weather days this entire winter here. It's still just as gray and cold as it was this morning. The rain has stopped for the last few hours, but it's still very unpleasant to walk around outside.

It's like that here today, Matt H. We think it's great!

Just walking back and forth to the car in this horrible weather was enough to really depress me.

It is good you live where you do and not someplace like Michigan.  Of all the places we lived I knew more people there that suffered from SAD than anywhere else.

I am very pleased to see that my all time favorite western DAY OF THE OUTLAW (1959) will release on DVD (officially) in March.

Tina Louise, David Nelson, Venetia Stevenson, and Betsy Jones-Moreland all in one movie! Who could ask for more?!

And there is some beautiful music in that film.

Good Evening!

I'm back from my jaunt around the 'hood.  I basically did a mile and a half loop, with a stop at "El Rey Del Sandwich" for a Cubano.  Very good, and very cheap - only $3.00!

It wasn't too cold outside, but it was a bit misty.  However, the fresh air felt great.  Just what I needed after being cooped up in the apartment all day.

Now cut that out!

That's funny.   There was this lady in one of the neighborhoods I grew up in about whom folks used to say, every once and again, "Well...Mabel's over there having kittens again!"

I was forbidden to ever ask to see them.
