Where in tarnation IS everyone?
This morning I will have the joy of trying to convince the branch manager of the main branch of my credit union that a check that DRLaura deposited for me at a shared branch near her as opposed to the main branch downtown (which will actually accept deposits since not all do). There are very few real branches of my credit union left and most of them not even in the city. If they don't give me a break, I'm up a creek. Despite the fact that I have been with this institution for about 21 or 22 years, perhaps it is time to go to a real bank. Do they make real banks anymore? Does anyone still wear a hat? I need to see a neurolgist, get an EEG and some blood work done and find out what is going on with my body and so-called brain (and find out what my limitations are)--- none of which I can do currently. Lfe is good!
I am not f&#$%@g Matt Damon OR Ben Affleck.Just in case you were wondering.
''The River'' is a collage of rock, rap and pop gospel, extolling water in spiritual and metaphorical terms. In Peter Link's lyrics water falls, tumbles, rains and rushes in streams, rivers and oceans. By the end of the show, one has been inundated by images of liquidity. There is, of course, a limit to the number of water songs one can listen to in a single show (the same thing could be said about cat songs). Perhaps in recognition of that fact, in the second act, Mr. Link tries to extend the range of his musical. The cast escorts us to ''the mire,'' meaning the earth - urban division -where we meet street people wasting their lives in various nonproductive ways. Here and elsewhere, Mr. Link is paralleling the cycle of water and the life cycle of man.
