Those morons held up the laundry for 6 hrs today! And they're guests. According to my rules of order, they stank after three hours.

My last loads of laundry are now in the dryers, and I think I may watch the rest of THE CHANGELING with Helen Mirren from her BBC set. I do believe Christopher Bond took his SWEENEY TODD lunatic asylum from this Jacobean play; he's admitted borrowing from the Jacobean revenge tragedies, the COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, and other sources for his version. When I stopped watching last night, the lunatics have been invited to "perform" at the wedding of Beatrice-Joanna (Ms Mirren) to the man she loves, but she's already had the man to whom her father betrothed her murdered and been blackmailed into becoming the sexual slave of the murderer she hired. I don't think it's going to end well for anyone.

Good Evening!

We're walking, we're walking...

My friend, Michael, met me at my apartment earlier this afternoon. I had wanted to check out a few (more) places on the Lower East Side, so we figured we'd just walk east and catch the 4 or 6 train down to Union Square and proceed from there. Well, once we left my place, we walked down 145th to Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., then down ACP to 125th, then down 125th to Lexington Ave. to catch the train. Whew!

-But it was a gorgeous(!!!!) day today. Perfect for a leisurely walk.

Once we reached Union Square, we noticed all these people carrying pillows who were dressed in pajamas. At first we thought it was some sort of Easter weekend sleepover deal, but then we found that we were about to witness...

I treated myself to a quick Indian lunch and then came home and mowed, weeded, and did other lawn work types of things.

After walking east along 14th Street, then we took a right on Avenue A. Then the real fun began! Here's a partial list of today's culinary highlights:

Caracas Arepa Bar - Lunch. Very good arepas and some of the best hot sauce I've ever had. Just the right amount of heat, and lots of other flavors going on besides just "hot".

Australian Homemade Premium Ice Cream and Chocolates - Dessert.

Economy Candy - Just some goodies for the Easter baskets.

Russ & Daughters - I got my "Super Heeb", and some Nova.

Doughnut Plant - By the time we got there, they were down to their last couple dozen, and the counter guy was randomly discounting everyone's purchases. 'Cause once they're gone, they're gone, and he can close up!

-Oh, for tomorrow's Easter breakfast: Toasted Almond, Orange, Tres Leches.

Roni-Sue's Chocolates - Carrot Cake Truffles! -Easter goodie/presents, ya' know. And she even threw in a some of her amazing Earl Grey-Lavender-Honey Lollipops gratis!

And now to watch some Bollywood...tonight will be YEH RAAT PHIR NA AAYGI (1966) starring Prithviraj Kapoor, Biswajeet, Sharmila Tagore, and Mumtaz....4 of my favorite vintage Bollywood performers...I don't know the plot, other then it is a murder mystery.

My favorite local stations went to talk radio, the last just about the time I got this car.....the car with satellite radio. For the most part I listen to the 40's station, alternating between the 50's, jazz, and classical stations. Sometimes I roam into the 60's & 70's with a stop on Broadway.
