I just realized a couple of minutes ago that Guy Haines (the legend, the engima, et al) is the fellow who sang "Guess We May As Well Stay Married Now." That's another example of a cut song that I liked better than the rest of the released OCR selections.

The other is a smog check station, and the third is the Studio City Library. Otherwise, all the buildings look exactly the same except that most of Moorpark to the east of Whitsett is lined with tall bushes.

In the film CINDERELLA LIBERTY, James Caan was in a bar that was located on First Avenue in downtown Seattle. He walked out of the bar and he was on Pacific Avenue in Tacoma where he walked across to the Tacoma Greyhound Bus Depot. Watching the movie in a Tacoma theater resulted in a loud guffaw over the mixed geography.

I bought 2 pair of glasses today....Good heavens are they expensive. But my favorites are pretty funky and would not work when I need to dress up or be in more conservative settings. But I REALLY like them and since I really never wear my contacts anymore, I decided to go ahead and get two pair.

I did get a great discount using my AAA membership. I always forget to ask if they have AAA discounts but for some reason I did ask today and was surprised today when they said yes. It was over 30% off.

I watched The Rookies every week. Michael Ontkean became a lifelong favorite actor of mine beginning with this show....and his battles with producer Aaron Spelling to wear his hair CURLY.....quite the news back then.

Had a full night of viewing. I began with another NUMB3RS episode. This one was about a religious cult whose pastor was so eager to procreate that he was marrying young teens. Crazy, sad story.

Next I watched THE CHIPMUNK ADVENTURE. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes (three female counterparts) are the stars of the show. "David Seville" goes away on a business trip to Europe and leaves them all under the care of Miss Miller (voiced by the funny Dody Goodman).

The animation is only slightly better than you'd see on TV back when this was done (1987). Lots of music, though. I guess it wouldn't be a Chipmunks movie without a lot of songs sung in their unique style. (The CD soundtrack was also part of the package.)

Thankfully, it wasn't too long, 70 minutes or so.

My Bollywood movie turned out not to be a murder mystery at all but instead is shaping up to be a ghost/reincarnation film.

So far the film makers have stolen the them music from EXODUS (for the scene in the art gallery) and GOLDFINGER (for a chase scene).

Since I had a good portion of the evening still left, I decided to watch a Blu-ray I got this week (not for review, just for fun): I AM LEGEND. A thousand times more exciting and involving than Charlton Heston's THE OMEGA MAN even though the story is basically the same with alterations here and there. The night people are CGI creations rather than real actors, but I'll admit I jumped in my chair a couple of times.

A good popcorn movie.

My goodness - TORCHWOOD. Almost a comedy of errors tonight and yet exciting and scary a bit, too. Really ran the gamut this week.

Wonder if we'll find out more about Jack and that photo we looked at with him. Perhaps DOCTOR WHO fanatics can explain that picture to those of us who are ignorant.

There is a short subject on the Ballet Rousse on TCM early in the morning, and I may...MAY decide to see if I can watch AN AMERICAN IN PARIS and revisit my low opinion of it.......it is a day for miracles, they say.
