Today I took my in-laws for a walk, and this is what we saw:

I was cooking dinner.  I'm hungry,  Keith isn't so I'm eating at the computer.
I've got an even more fun situation.  Der Brucer has fallen asleep on the couch, "watching the news on television."  I can't even think of having dinner until he wakes up.

It's simple tonight, bacon/avocado/cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings.

But still!!!!

IT'S ASK BK DAY!

Question:

Now that I'm filling my IPod, what are the 10 Essential Bruce Kimmel-produced cds to put in it?

What piece of music should no IPod be without?

Even DRs may pipe in with their opinions - are you listening DR Ron Pulliam?

Oh, DR MBarnum, I have a few Bollywood soundtracks entered, my favorite is KUCH NAA KAHO.

I have them all. Hard to choose.

But I would have to say without seeing BK's Choices

Unsung Irving Berlin (2CD)

Bill O'Reilly has just claimed that the film Titanic is a remake of A Night to Remember.

It has been in the mid 80s here and too warm for them.

Copenhagen on an iPod.

Great recording, but how would it play in shuffle mode?

Skip is out seeing SOUTH PACIFIC whilst I continue my tax work.

I assume it's getting close to intermission right now.

I guess 85 is a bit of a shock to the system, 75 would have been easier.

About this time of year, just as the first signs of spring are sprouting and then I'm hit with snow again, is my favorite time to go to a warmer climate where spring has sprung.

As I type this it has begun to snow.

Well, I am getting a bit sleepy.  A holdover from yesterday's shoot, I guess.

Good night.

As for today's auditions...  Some good people.  So bad people.  And some totally clueless and deluded people.  In other words, the same ole same ole.

One of the things I have missed since moving from NYC to L.A. is seeing plays on and off Broadway. But in particular, I've missed seeing Rudnick's plays. One of my very favorite theater experiences was seeing "I Hate Hamlet." I've read both of Rudnick's novels and I own every play of his that has been published. (I still haven't read my newest acquisition, "No Regrets," but I'm looking forward to it.)

Did anybody ever see Rudnick's play "The Naked Truth"? I missed that one and it's never come out in print.

DR BrettySpaghetti - Did you catch Paul Rudnick's column in "The New Yorker" a couple of weeks ago?  It was a great account about the inspiration and creation of I Hate Hamlet.

Wednesday evening greetings from Minneapolis!  It's been a full day here at the conference.  Spent my morning in a pre-conference that I could have taught myself (but I didn't write the book...), went to a lovely vendor luncheon, then to the opening session to hear John Wood, the author of Leaving Microsoft to Change the World.  He was a fantastic speaker and I highly recommend his book.  Ended the day with 2 hours in the exhibit hall and just finished a nice dinner with my roommate Sue.

Ready to crash.

Vibes for DRs Danise and Edi and anyone else who needs them.

New glasses compliments to DRs Cillaliz and JRand.  Wonder if DH Richard will have his new glasses by the time I get home?

DR Jane - yes, Sue and I have worked together at the library for 10+ years and have attended many state and national conferences together.  We travel well together, not having to be joined at the hip 24/7.
