Keith is waiting for me so we can watch something.  I should have asked what before he left the room.

They were giving out "free drink" cards to the members of the press who attended the Book Launch.  -There were a few editors from "Gourmet", "Saveur", "Bon Appetit", etc.  Well...  The (cute) waiter, I guess, noticed me talking with some of the editors and my friend from the publishing house, and he eventually came up to me and asked if I wanted a cocktail.  "Here's the listing of the special drinks for tonight.  They're free tonight... -You're with the press, right?"  Right!  So, I tried something called a "Cherry Blosson Martini" which consisted of a couple different liqueurs and fruit juices.  It was quite tasty... And as the 1 train pulled into the 50th Street station, and I began to stand up, I realized just how strong that drink was too!  ;)

A Cherry Blossom martini sounds delish!

I am a mint julep fan! The head of the composition department when I was in music school used to come over on Friday afternoons and make them with fresh mint from our garden. Then my friends and I would climb out my bedroom window onto the porch roof and imbibe when it was nice out. Ahhhh...memories.

I ended up meeting my roommate, Jim, and some friends at Therapy for dinner.  For a "special interest establishment", they actually serve some pretty decent food.  Although, I guess if a "special interest establishment" did not serve good food, the "special interest" would make it known.  ;)  -And the waiter even honored our request to turn the music down since it was way too loud for anyone to carry on any sort of conversation - and to hear our orders.

First day at the CD shipping warehouse, no doubt.

Just be glad you didn't order Busta Rhymes.

You say "Niño", I say "Nino"...

And they won't send me what I ordered until they receive the wrong one back! Seems like since it wasn't MY fault, they'd just go ahead and send it.

vixmom - Wow, is that a real photo or was it photo-shopped?  And can you make it for the "Cilla's-in-NYC" get-together tomorrow from 5:30 to 7:30?

DR CP and his wife Juliana used to always give a Kentucky Derby party when they lived in LA.....I wonder if they celebrate on location now that they are within a few furlongs of the actual event?

He's probably happy because no one turned him into a lamp!

Wish I could be in NY this weekend!

At least the stuff I edited IS in NY; at several of the network upfronts. And our Closer spots are airing on Delta. So that's as close as I'm gonna get!

That book was only $1.25, if I recall, and the raw materials are plentiful this time of the year.  :o

I thought it was against natural law to mount animals, even in the privacy of your own home.
