I did get 3 weeks worht of laundry done, and then a lot of weeding and pruning. So the coffee worked!

I think I'll go get another dose...

We need a picture of the Guadelupe cucumber so we can all enjoy it.

TOTD:
I think "The Happy Time" would be my choice. I love the music and would love to have seen Mr Goulet on stage.

I love the score for "Steel Pier".  I have seen a production (excellent) but I think the book will never really work with an audience.  It really does seem like a musical version of "They Shoot Horses Don't They".

I eventually got to see "Stardust" last night.  I really enjoyed the movie.  I tried to watch "The Golden compass" earlier in the week. Even before Ms Kidman's appearance, I was less than impressed.  I shall read the books instead.

I don't think I ever did see the David Essex movie "Stardust" which was a kind of sequel to "That'll be The Day" which I quite enjoyed.

Twenty years ago today, Richard, Rob, and I moved into this house.  There are some boxes in the basement I still haven't unpacked.

...and found out that Kenny is good friends with Matt Battaglia, of all people! They have known each other since the late 80s back in Florida.

And how much is he charging you for a pair of Mr Battaglia's underwear?

Ginny, I am very glad that Richard was away during the storm.  That was quite a hefty limb.  I guess it is a sure sign that he picked the correct vocation!

Depsite (or in spite of) our rainy weekend, the huge Point Defiance Flower and Garden show is going on just down the street from me.  Last night, the crowds were pretty heavy, even though it was pouring.  Today the crowds have been pretty small, I think.

Are you sure "hefty limb" isn't a Matt Battaglia euphemism?

Hi, gang. I'm in Chelsea Studios trying out the wireless.

Let me just say this:

I HATE TOUCHPADS!!!

I know that makes me unconnected and an old fogey but I despise them. I will use a mouse over a touchpad anytime. That being said, being in Chelsea using high speed wireless is fun. There is no table or large enough flat area so I'm using the touchpad to navigate. Anthony is here taking a shortened dance class and he's back so goodbye.

My daughter has a wireless-mouse (an small USP transceiver slips out of the mose case and plugs into the computer) - the mouse works fine on the arm of a sofa!

I've been watching a BBC mystery series STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL, about a couple of sex therapists, their affair, their families, and a murder. Some of the patients are funny, some are moving, and the show is very frank sexually. However, I really dislike the major character, a sex therapist who was once a cop having a lesbian affair wth the cop who has now accused the sex therapist's husband of murder. It's tangled. But only 6 episodes.

Two Fat Ladies (big boxed set of old BBC comedy series)

Well, it is really funny, but it is a cooking show (and a wonderful one at that!) - let me know when you put the box up for bid!

I bought a passion vine at Lowe's and spent some time (get this) moving caterpillars to it. They seemed grateful. Then I delivered a food box.

Can't the caterpillers get their own food?

I couldn't stand JECKYLL AND HYDE but I, too, enjoyed THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL as a very entertaining romp. Douglas Sills did a magnificent job with the title role.

I didn't like DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE either.

However, I did love THE HAPPY TIME.  Saw it when it premiered in Los Angeles with Robert Goulet and David Wayne.  Great score.
