Been listening to Damn Yankees both the original and the revival and I have come to the conclusion that I don't think I like how the show ends musically, or story-wise either.  It just sorta "finishes".  I do love the score, and I hope the kids will, too.

So there IS hope for getting DR MBarnum a date, after all!     :D

I think that would require something much stronger than Gatorade.  Cosmos maybe?

Shame on you, Jose!  I am sure that the Ado Annie of Forest Lawn is quite capable of getting all the dates she he wants.

I am still not convinced that Mr. Hayes is the right choice for Applegate, but with Jane and Cheyenne in the cast, who cares?

A Very Happy Birthday to TCB's Sister!!

Thank you one and all for the birthday wishes for my sister.  She will be delighted when I tell her; and will, of course be relieved that I didn't mention that she was turning 61.

Whoops!   ::)

I've only seen the first two movies, but I'm sure that the musical is only based on the first movie.

I am not so sure about that, George.  Pinocchio and Lord Farquaad are both listed as characters in the musical, and I don't believe that either one was in the first SHREK movie.

I have been lying on the couch with my foot elevated while listening to cds.

May I say that Kate is a very bitter woman.

In a couple of hours I'll be on my way to the reading of the "new" musical, The Times.  I'm sure I'll know people there.

I'm interested to see how "staged" it is - how much on book the cast is, etc.  I'm trying to figure out exactly what to do with the staged reading of the musical I'm mentoring.

Okay, good example!  Do you have even the slightest clew who that blind item is about?  if you do, PM me.

I don't like "blind items" very much because I don't want to read who other people think it could be...I just want to be told exactly who it is.

Hmm...shows you how much I was paying attention to the movies. ::)

Good Evening!

Hmm... I think the "fresh" bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts that I bought at the grocery store were most likely previously frozen.  They cooked up fine, and had a good initial taste, but there was something off in the after-taste.  But as long as my stomach and head are feeling fine, that's really all that matters now, ain't it?

According the show's Website[/color], Shrek the Musical will based on the original book and the first movie.  -At least that's what it says now.  ;)

-And even though the upcoming City Center Encores' production of Damn Yankees will be recreating Bob Fosse's original choreography, I'm wondering if they're going to keep "Who's Got The Pain?" intact.  Although, since the only way that number ever really works as a first act closer is with Bob Fosse's staging/choreography, maybe they will.  (And I guess I could just call my friends who are involved with the show to get the answer to that question.)

Someone down the street is hammering and using an electric saw, hence I am up.
What a maroon!

Surely he'd get much better results hammering with a hammer.

Friends on the production tell me Mr Hayes is wonderful. He has to be better than Victor Garber.
