Oh, good lord. There are a million other examples. The first that comes to mind is that Angela Lansbury was only 3 years older than Laurence Harvey who played her son in THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE.

If the actors are good and the story's engrossing, nobody cares. If you're noticing that instead of what's actually happening on the screen, then something is wrong some place.

I began my afternoon viewing by looking at the Showtime-HD version of INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE. Looked really nice (even if the soundtrack was only Dolby Surround). Very detailed, but I only watched about 15 minutes or so of it. I was ready to eat lunch, and it's just a bit too bloody and gory to eat food while watching (at least for me).

Next I began watching WAYSIDE SCHOOL. I think the show is aiming for kids and adults rather like ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE used to do. Everyone's a nutcase in this schoolroom except for new student Todd who's constantly (but not on purpose) breaking rules and being sent home early on the kindergarten bus. The best episode I've seen thus far was when the kindergartners made him their king, and then everyone in his class got jealous that the tykes were showering him with attention.

Each of the episodes is made up of two 11-minute stories back-to-back. I had no trouble at all finishing the first disc this afternoon. I will do the second disc tonight. The time I have left over I'll finish watching INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE and then, if there's time, tonight's LAW & ORDER: CI skipping through the commercials.

Actually, I spend a great deal of time while I am watching a movie, pondering whether the star's belly button is an innie or an outie. Fortunately, with most of the movies I watch, there is no time wasted worrying about that.

Today they had a fun day at one of the park's in my neighborhood. They had those big blow-up things you jump in. And train rides.

We took my niece for a picnic (she was thrilled because she got to eat chips and cupcakes). And she went on as many of the rides as she was comfortable doing. She liked the train, and painting. And there was a boat ride for little kids.

It was actually quite fun. There is also sand there and slides. So she did that too!

She wanted to go on the train for a second time. But they wouldn't let adults on this time. And she would not go alone (sitting beside 2 other kids), even though the train was going slow and i told her i would run beside it!

Well, it is day 3 of a really bad head cold & cough, one that must be gone in the next two days or sooner.

The doctor said Keith's mother looks better than she did on Friday. He is obviously still concerned.

I feel bad no one is visiting her but I think it is best she stay very still so the sutures heal inside of her. She is sleeping most the time anyway.

Wow! Today is my lucky day! First I get a notice that Microsoft and AOL are clebrating their anniverary (I didn't know they were dating) by awarding prizes to lucky individuals. My lucky ticket got me an award of 1,350,000 pounds, which I don't know the conversion rate, but I am sure is huge.

Then I have just received notice that the United Nations (of all people) has approved the disbursement to me of $8.3 million,

I guess my moon must be in Uranus!
