PICK YOURSELF UP

Well, you've read the notes, the notes hit the right notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they all fell down and now they're picking themselves up.

I think I shall go to bed and get my beauty sleep.  I hope my internal clock is set for eight or earlier.  I'm going to have to go out and buy a fershluganah alarm clock, I guess.

In the mail yesterday, I received the the happy ending musical Boulevard!, starring Gloria Swanson. :) I got it directly from Stage Door Records for only $26.04...including shipping (£12.99)!  If I'd gotten it at Footlight.com, it would've been $31.95 without shipping.

Young Frankenstein:

A. When Wilder stabs himself with the scalpel
B. "Put the candle back"

Victor Victoria -
A. The cockroach scene in the restaurant
B. The entire Shady Dame  From Seville reprise

Mary, Mary

The search for a cigarette butt

Barefoot In The Park -

Most of Mildred Natwick:
Act One:

I remember when you were a little girl, you said you wanted to live on the moon... I thought you were kidding.

I feel like we've died and gone to heaven - only we had to climb up.

And her brilliant Act Two entrance lines:

I had to park the car three blocks away. Then it started to rain so I ran the last two blocks. Then my heel got caught in a subway grating. When I pulled my foot out, I stepped in a puddle. Then a cab went by and splashed my stockings. If the hardware store downstairs was open, I was going to buy a knife and kill myself.

The Great Race - "Push the button, Max!"

ON A MOST SERIOUS NOTE:

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
FOOD FIGHT: CUPCAKE MAKERS SIMMER OVER CANDY DOT

LOS ANGELES —  Sprinkles Cupcakes, a California purveyor of mini-cakes beloved by Hollywood stars, has accused rival Famous Cupcakes of stealing its trademarked "Modern Dot" cupcake design to lure away clientele.

Sprinkles' high-end pastries have made the rounds of U.S. media, from "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to "Nightline", drawing locals and out-of-towners who regularly wait in long lines outside the company's Beverly Hills store.

The company, which also runs stores in Texas and Arizona, accused Famous Cupcakes in a federal lawsuit filed on Thursday in Los Angeles of incorporating the "nested circle design" featured on Sprinkles cupcakes on Famous Cupcakes packaging, store decor, and "each and every page" of its website.

Those silly little things don't hold a candle to Jose's pateries!

I've been up the past 50 minutes because of a mosquito.  She feasted on the underside of my right arm.

She is now dead.
