The song of the day, as it has been for me for the past few days, is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DBYnoYutfc

"Believe" sung by Cher - I really can't believe it's ten years since that song came out; these past ten years have really moved fast since I remember the first time I heard that song as if it were very recent.

I think it's been posted before, but THIS[/b] version is so cute! ;D

I sure wish I could retire.

Four years, one month, one week, and one day - but who's counting?

Salo is the only film I've ever seen where if I were in a room with the negative, I'd burn it.  It's the vilest, most sickening thing ever and I see nothing in it beyond the disgusting content on view.

The CDs arrived around noon and I have just spent the last four hours getting them packaged, stamped, and shipped - happy to say that all preorders are at the post office and on their way.  I even got the biggest of the online store orders out (some 240 copies), so the only thing I had left were the other big orders, and I've now got those boxed and stamped and ready to ship first thing in the morning.  Whew!

I posted it prolly a year ago, and then lost it!  Now I have it back!

This year (just this past June, actually), I have 20 years.  Now, I only 25 MORE! :P

Good Evening!

It was - and still is - another glorious day here in New York City!

When I headed out earlier, I really wasn't sure where I wanted to go, but I eventually ended up down at 23rd Street, and walked over to Chelsea Barber to get my hair cut.  My timing was perfect, and I was in a chair just a few minutes after I walked in.  I got another good cut, but it actually seems just a little shorter than usual.  I think.  But my barber did comment that I was a week or two past due, so... ;)

And the word of the day is: JUJU!
Remember, in Spanish the letter "J" sounds like an "H".

Then it was just another day of wandering Chelsea and Gramercy.

And, yes, I did go by Shake Shack, so...

Here it is, Dear Readers, the Heirloom Tomato Frozen Custard:

I liked it, but didn't love it.  It really didn't taste tomato-ey enough to me. However, I guess if you combine milk and cream with tomatoes, well... I've had tomato sorbets, so maybe that's what my tastebuds were expecting.  However, the aftertaste did have that hint of acid.  Otherwise, I thought it tasted more like nutmeg.  I think.

Well, I don't really talk about the stuff I don't love, so... ;)

I've been up the past 50 minutes because of a mosquito.  She feasted on the underside of my right arm.

She is now dead.
Either you have toxic blood, or you might think about using a deodorant.

Actually, I would most enjoy trying those Filipino dishes mentioned earlier.

Hmm... And when you do, I want to be there to take a picture of the "before" and "after".  ;)

*Now you know that both Portland and Seattle have pretty decent-sized Filipino populations - due to the Coast Guard and other military bases there.  I'm sure if you Googled for Filipino restaurants in your area, you'd come across some.  Otherwise, the next time you come to New York City, I'll take you down to the East Village to Pistahan or Elvie's Turo-Turo, or out to Queens for the real deal.

Facebook, MySpace, Xtube...it is so difficult to tell these internet places apart.

Well, if you can't tell those places apart, that explain a lot.  A WHOLE lot!

I guess you missed Suzanne Somers in THE GIRL IN THE THUNDERBIRD.

Well, I didn't.

*Although, I'd classify that whole experience more as "crappy" rather than "creepy".
