There were two featurettes on the final disc. One was a comparison between movie director Frank Darabont and TV director Paris Barclay's handling of individual episodes. Kind of fun seeing the different directing styles.

The second featurette was about actress Franka Potente (RUN LOLA RUN) who guest starred on three episodes of the show. The role was written for her because she was such a major fan of the series and wanted to be on it.

So tonight is mine all mine, and I'll get to watch quite a few things for fun including the two TV shows still on the DVR and if I'm not in the mood for I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY, I'll watch A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER on Blu-ray.

-And what's been really cool is that I've been running into people during my walking around today who couldn't otherwise make it either to Shake Shack or La Cocina tonight.  -Birthday Hugs All Around!  :)

Jose, your youthful exbuerance fooled Anthony. He thought you were in your 20s, perhaps 29 turning 30. He was quite surprised to hear you are now 40!

Well, that all depends whether I'm wearing my glasses or have my contacts in. -However, why do you think the lighting in gay bars is kept so dim?

DR ELMORE - I see you are now a friend of Adam Chandler....always a fun companion though not the sharpest knife in the drawer....DRJOSE might think about checking out his Facebook page, too.

It says he is auditioning for the NYMF....so I guess he is still doing theatre.....

I thought it was so the bartenders could short change the customers.  ;D

Yep.  That's what happens as you start to get older.  You have to get your prescription checked!

DR JRand58 - I did just check out his Facebook page after you mentioned him in your earlier post.  He looks familiar to me.  Although, almost any actor in New York City looks familiar to me by this point and time.  ;)

Yes, please do, DR JOSE.

Anything with vodka will be fine thanks, although a Greyhound would be very appreciated.

We need to see pictures, yes, of course.  My birthday pics would just be more of me in my MURDER AT THE GROVE SHIRT, or holding my Scent of Mystery CD.

I've skipped so far on HEROES - Season 2. I will eventually own it, but I'll wait for a reduced sale price. I wasn't enamored enough of the season to need it right now (though I barely remember much of what happened during the season since it ended in December 2007.)

Now, THE OFFICE - Season 4. That comes out next week, and I'll have to have it. There's even an episode that I missed when a tornado in the area terminated all network broadcasts and we had weather reports for 3 hours.

I'm sure we've had several words before - it's impossible for me to remember and I just do the ones that don't seem familiar.  I think we've been doing these for a good two years now.

And I thought they were just from Dictionary.com :)

Back from errands.  Am having tuna sandwiches for the meal o' the day.  Listening to the new Trijntje Oosterhaus Bacharach II CD - it's very good but not as very good as the first one.  She now simply goes by the name Traincha - I guess they're trying to US her.

best birthdays, boys: remember, Jose, XL is just a number, not necessarily a size

Love the TOD, as I love politics but rarely get to post.  Seems to me that what Aaron Sorkin et al. were writing for The West Wing was something of a fantasy on how the executive branch would have been under Al Gore.  There would be intellect, and due consideration of opposing points of view, applied to every decision the president made.

Americans traveling abroad wouldn't be greeted with snickers and scowls.  We'd be known as a peaceful giant, one that held to principles of fairness such as habeus corpus, the right to a speedy trial, the right to private consultations with an attorney, to know what one is charged with.  And as a country that didn't suddenly abandon old treaties like the Geneva Convention, so that we could abandon our tradition of decency and utilize torture.

While I believe 9/11 would have happened, I truly believe Osama Bin Laden would have been caught and punished.  If half of the resources devoted to ousting Saddam Hussein had been devoted to ending Al Qaeda, we'd have won a far worthier battle.  No troops died in wars started by Clinton, and that fine record would likely have continued.

Government would be a whole lot smaller.  If President Gore discovered the FBI and the CIA weren't effectively working together, he'd yell at the heads and order them to.  So, no need for the vast bureaucracy known as Homeland Security.  And no paying for all of that by borrowing from the Chinese, either.

The Green thing is the most obvious thing: every new structure would be built with solar panels on its roof.  Every bus and taxi would be electric.  The roads would be fixed, and would be filled mostly with electric cars and hybrids.

The Supreme Court would be a whole lot wiser and less ideological.  Government wouldn't tap our phones or look at our library check-outs.  The rich would be taxed more (Inheritance Tax would remain) and the middle class would be taxed less.  Having a leader who respects science inspires scientists to make great discoveries.

It's also likely that Gore would have made a few bone-headed mistakes.  But he'd have the humility to admit his errors, and change policies that needed changing.  I don't think he'd have been the greatest president ever, but probably better than most.
