Good Afternoon!

Lunch! -Which, for me today, consists of two filled buns (no euphemism intended) and a tapioca mlikshake from the Chinese bakery around the corner. Well... "consisted" by this point and time. ;)

For a moment there I thought Jose was going to tell us he ate something ORDINARY for lunch. Where'd I get that idea?? He proved me wrong in any case. A tapioca milkshake, huh?

I gave the den a thorough cleaning and set aside a bunch of stuff to go through. That's my downfall: I don't get to the last part. Although I did throw out some things.

Two Filled Buns - that's the title of my next novel.  Filled with what, that's what we all want to know.

If they have a permit, then it surely isn't "lawless."

They have stated an intent to violate the permit - then it is lawless, and vigorous action should be taken.

The anarchists have made clear they are spoiling for a point - they shouild not be dissappointed.

PS Per the other day, I think the hooligans conducting the Boston Tea Party were misdirecting their anger at the government toward private property and should have been prosecuted.

I have a co-worker who has recently taken to chewing gum.  She works it vigorously and makes loud popping noises.  They resonate off her office wall and out into other offices.

It's IRRITATING in the extreme!

Would you like to borrow my water cannon :D

DR dB - I am not necessarily supportive of "the anarchists."

However, I am curious as to what you feel should be done to those who illegally authorize the surveillance of American citizens, who authorize the breaking of the Geneva Convention and the torture of prisoners, who neglect American victims of the largest natural disaster in US history, who have politicized the Justice Department beyond all recognition, and who flout Congress through the spurious and unprecendented use of "signing statements"?

This day IS moving along.  So many comings and goings, goings and comings, I'm nearly dizzy from the whirlwind of activity in my office today.

Fortunately, three folks, including my boss, will leave the office for the day by 3 p.m.  That leaves the rest of us more-laid-back folks to heave some sighs and settle in for the rest of the workday.

I just need a written-down version of that how to pose maneuver to send on to this relative.  Three or four lines would eb great.

Will this be for a portrait shot, by themself? Or as part of a group?

If by themself, first tell them up front that it will feel uncomfortable to "pose", but it will look great on film.

I like the "turn and squat and look":

Look toward the camera, then TURN your body to the left or right about 45 to 90 degrees.

SQUAT down as comfortably as you can go, leaning forward slightly too if possible.

LOOK towards the camera, craning your neck as much as you comfortably can. Then have the photographer shoot your face. Again,it will feel a little uncomfortable and "posed", but the resulting pics look great. *If you seen a couple of opera singer photos you'll notice a lot of leaning shots. **And if look at my 8x10s on Facebook, I am actually sitting back on my ankles in all of them.

I watched four episodes of MEDIUM this afternoon. Included in these was the one about the FBI agent (and killer) played by Kurtwood Smith who kind of tricked Allison from beyond the grave. I remembered seeing it, but I didn't remember the ending, so I was pleasantly surprised by the ending.
