DS Craig needs some powerful job vibes.

He has run out of time, job or no job they will be relocating.  The apartment building will be sold at auction & everyone has to move by the end of the month.  Since they have to move they will move to a city with a better chance of getting a job.

What he really needs is a job BEFORE he rents the new apartment!

Billy Storm was from Dayton Ohio.
He had a top 40 hit with "I've Come of Age" in 1959. (Tchaikowsky's melody from the 5th)
I suspect the El Cid track is ultra rare.

Storm was lead singer of the R & B group "The Valients"

If that fishing guy logs on here could someone give him my thanks for the good wishes that I inadvertently read yesterday.

Thank you for your birthday wishes.  I am not just an occasional dear reader... I have read this daily since the very first day of the original HHW... I just don't post as much as I used to.

It took me so long to reply because I spent my birthday at Lincoln Center seeing the glorious new production of SOUTH PACIFIC - a show which was the first musical I ever saw on my 9th Birthday.  This production is a model of what I have said for years about revivals - if you trust the material you don't need to rewrite the book and alter the score.  Every revival producer should see this and maybe there will be more revivals and less revisals.

Please note, I called you a Dear Reader, not an occasional one. ;)

I’m glad you shared your birthday activities with us. :)

That would be an easy decision for me.

I haven't stopped eating this weekend and I never seem to get full. Not a good thing if you ask me, but it hasnt' stopped me any

In addition to posting here this evening, I've been live-chatting on Facebook with my DN (dear niece) Laura, who accompanied me to Jewish Thighs on Broadway back in 2005.

Is parking free at the hotel in Bethesda?

No. I checked on that before I made the decision. But, that's ok and it's deductible.

Some internet site this weekend had a series of photos called the Hunks of the Olympics.  So, of course, I looked.  Can someone please explain this outfit from the Netherlands?

Formal wear for beach goers, an absolute must when dining at McDonalds.

(The pattern hides the ketchup stains better.)

It's very orange.  And maybe not orange enough.
