It's pretty well known that I don't drive.  (Even after promising that I would, but we haven't gotten around to it yet, and I haven't had much time off from work so that I can get in much or any practice.)

So, years ago, it provoked a good deal of laughter when I won a door prize at the office Christmas party: a complementary lube job for my car.

On the other hand, that's what someone considered a Christmassy door prize?  Sheesh.

There have been many Christmas Eve's when I would have killed for such a door prize.

For the car, TCB, for the car!!!

Oh!

I am watching THE GENE KRUPA STORY.....just watched HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL.....Russ Tamblyn shot up with heroin - but not really since he is an undercover policeman - but he figured the effect that the drug would have one him would be to walk and talk like Mae West.

Individual reviews were mixed, but I think it sounds interesting, moreso from your description than the one on Amazon.

No, DR VIXMOM, although I played him when the guy broke his ankle a couple of weeks before the end of the run.

I had a rather nice day today.

Der B got off the phone with a fellow he's been working with re elections databases in the Los Angeles area, and I suggested that, instead of both of us going to the Farmer's Market, I should go solo if he were to drive me there, and then walk home.  He was agreeable, and I had a very enjoyable time talking with other customers and some of the vendors.

Then I started walking home, and stopped by Beautiful Foods, the local gourmet shoppe, for a few items.  Heading up the highway, I crossed over and had a nice chat with my former boss over at Kitchen Collections, then browsed my way through the outlet mall before heading home.

All I need now is to figure out how I'm going to stuff the peppers I bought at the market, which should be very yummilicious for tomorrow's dinner.

LOL....fifth from the left in the back row.  Beside me is the lovely Elizabeth.....I was in the show and the stage manager so we were wearing our blacks when the photo was taken.  We did a lively pre show speech that got the audience in a great mood.

It was a fun fun show.  You can sort of see the steps on each side of the stage that lead up to the bridge above us....the black spot behind us was a screen that had slides projected onto it, and scenes acted out in silhouette now and then.

I could do the show again right now....we did it for 12 weeks, a couple of Saturdays we had 5 shows a day.....

Karen the wild haired blonde sitting on the floor in the front and I ended the curtain call by doing the Time Warp on the bridge.....which was might precarious.....but being onstage makes you fearless - I don't know if I would do THAT again or not......

Just start singing Hot Patootie now and then.....she will certainly prefer that you switch to the Time Warp.

I picked out the right person in the photo, I just thought you were playing Riff Raff.
