TOD -- Some Halloween CDs -- "Jack O'Lantern Jams," "Monster Hits" and "Spooky Sounds of the Night"  (looking for sound effects and songs for Ghost Talk). Movin' and groovin' to Monster Mash .. oh, and you can't beat Toccata & Fugue for creating a nice haunted theatre atmosphere ...

I got an interesting email yesterday from some guy in West Seattle who is the "event coordinator" for an upcoming Frances Farmer day, which will include her getting a "star" at Alaska Square and also a retrospective of some of her films.  Unfortunately, they're also showing "Frances," which is about as "biographical" as "Harlow," and then are eating at the Shadowland Cafe, which, if you know the history of lies about Frances, does not augur well for the festival's verisimilitude-o-meter.  They want me to come up and speak, but I'm booked for one of the days and not sure if I can drive up there, do my thing, and then turn around and come back--we shall see.

And they're putting in the new electricity lines for the new houses next door, so I will be without power for most of the day.  Oy.

Why is your photo still squished, Missy Karen?

Can't you download it into HHW's photo cache from Photobucket?

I think it's time I haul out the DVD of "Hocus-Pocus" and revel in the deliciousness of Bette Midler as a witch singing "I Put A Spell On You" at an adult Halloween party.

Whew! That's a relief -- I was wondering about your wardrobe today (now I can check that off my list..)

(...but I have to admit, you sound most dapper -- better watch out, that co-worker is gonna want to walk you around the lake .. wink, wink )

Me likes the squished look -- and the missing tooth look (just in time for Halloween)

No, I can't.

Hmmm... Is anyone else noticing a general slow-down on the Internets this morning?  A lot of my usual sites - including NYTimes.com - are taking a long time to load.  -HHW seems to be unaffected, however (thankfully).

Nope, not on my CDs -- and that's a shame cause that's a good one.
