DR elmore3003 - I just procured a copy of Mother Goose!    :)  :)

Where did you find it?

And while we're at it, does anyone know where one could find the Beverly Sills recording of Victor Herbert songs?

There's a used copy on amazon.com for $45.

Better still, I found it on a quadrophonic stereo LP in mint condition for $9.

Back from the long jog in the new shoes.  I'm going to give these new shoes another few days and if my feet, legs, and lower back don't get used to them, I'm going back to the old shoes.  I know it's probably just the different style, but I'm so sore on my lower legs (never happened with the other shoes) that if that doesn't abate, they're not worth it, despite more spring in my step.

What would it take to fire you up and plug you in?

So I have to share this.  When I'm not hanging out here, I'm usually hanging out on a mommy website, posting in their forums.  The forum format they use allowed for "signatures" at the bottom of each post.  Most moms have a picture signature with pictures of their child in it.  There are some on the site who are very into "digital scrapbooking" as it's called, and they will make a signature collage for you if you send them pictures.  I have a copy of PhotoShop, so I've been playing around with making my own.  I just finished Toby's holiday collage, and I've been working on it for two days.  I'm very proud of it, and I have to share :D :D

Do you pronate? Do you supinate? Did you actually get measured for these new shoes?  -When you lose weight, your shoe size can change too.  -And since you've been jogging regularly, you may need wider shoes now too.  Are you doing some light stretching before and after you jog?  Etc., etc., etc...

And now I think I'm going to head back down to MoMA to finish(?) exploring and absorbing the Miró exhibit.  I still have yet to fully take in the last four rooms of the exhibition.  I'm playing an agent's audition later this afternoon, and since MoMA is on the way, well...

Do you pronate? Do you supinate?

I have no idea what that means, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I only indulge on days that contain the letter "Y."

Another option may be that your "other shoes" may not have had the arch support the new ones do.  That, in turn, means that the new shoes will be forcing you to use muscles "differently" from the way you were using them in the long jog.

By stretching, and sticking to the new shoes, you may find a greater overall benefit...but the "hurting" must abate within a reasonable period of "breaking-in" time.  Give yourself a minimum of a week in the new shoes.  If your legs still hurt -- or worsen -- then go back to the older shoes.
