I'm not looking forward to tonight's "Ghost Whisperer."

I don't know why they do what they do with their characters, but I thought the loss of Andrea at the end of season 1 was a seriously bad move.  That character was wonderful I totally detest the misuse of Camryn Manheim in a "nothing role" as the "replacement character."  I despise the way they wrote off the Jay Mohr character early this season..  I loathe the "new" professor on the show (very non-charsimatic).  And absolutely HATE HATE HATE what they've done to David Conrad's role as Melinda's husband.

Something tells me they think Jennifer Love Hewitt is the only character in the show worth maintaining.  I find that idea rather strange since my desire to watch the show has abated seriously in the past year.

If her hubby goes into the light tonight, I'm DONE with the show.

I'm not watching it; I've become too apathetic.  Bring back MEDIUM! ASAP!!

DR Vixmom I think it is great you are open about this & have so many people close to you to help & support you.

Will you be getting the extra belly button before the treatments begin & will you have to keep it the entire 6 weeks, or more?  Is there a typical time frame the swelling lasts?  I expect you will get lessons on caring for the feeding tube at home.

my understanding is they will put in the feeding tube and also I will get a port on my  upper chest area for the chemo treatments and tehat they will put those in place before the treatment starts.

This is exactly the same treatment the little girl across the street had a couple of years ago (remember my Sara?  She is officallly one year cancer free as of yesterday!!!)  I have spoken to her dad and he has offered his help and advice and said that Sara has been writinga book about her experience and is interested in helping people beat cancer - I willbe her first student --

If that 9 year old handled 6 MONTHS of chemo and radiation I can surely handle six measley weeks!

Love the positive approach DR Vixmom.  Let Sara know that an old guy from OZ will also be taking support from her stength when his treatment starts.

TOD:

The Most Happy Fella   courtesy of the extremely huggable and lovable DR elmore -

thank you so much - it was in my mail box today and I am listening to it as I type

(Vixter just taught me how to use media player)

DR vixmom, enjoy! I'm so happy to hear that the prognosis is good. I guess cherry cordials for Christmas will go to someone who can eat them. Maybe in the middle of January something better will arrive in the post?

I've spent the past two hours packing 10 cartons of books to ship to Ohio, and I think I'll try to do another 5 cartons tonight.

Our friend Allan shifted to Rehab yesterday - a very positive sign indeed.  He is now in a country facility rather than in the city.  GREAT for less pressure on his partner Carol.  Thanks Deb.

And the kitten was purring. So maybe she is not feral after all. Maybe she was just acting tough around the feral adult boys outside.

Speaking of bellybuttons - I have been today informed that I will soon be the proud owner of TWO...

the good news - the cancer is common, very treatable and caught early enought that they are foreseeing a six week treatment of radiation combined with chemo -- 6 weeks... that is a walk in the park!

They are looking at starting the treatment the first week of December so I get Thanksgiving...

I won't be able to eat after they start the treatment because of swelling in my throat so I will need a feeding tube - hence the extra belly button

well , it will be  conversation piece at the old folks home!!!!

Very encouraging news, Vixmom!

DR TCB, I think it's great you went to see him today. He'll get over his pique eventually and you need to get better yourself. How are you feeling today, flubug?

DR Tomovoz, good news about your friend. This site has amazing vibes.

I've had my salad and I guess I'll put togethewr a few more cartons.

I had to visit an ink cartridge supplier over this past week!  The retailer is from Newfoundland. Today's conversation was about "The Shipping News".  His comments were interesting.  The wonderful Julianne Moore got it so right!

I forgot (at least I think I forgot) to mention the one positive moment in last night's rush to the ER.  I parked in the parking lot, jumped out of the car, and there in all its glory on the hospital wall was --- me.
