LOL-I meant ramming, or butting the head into me-in a normal cat way. :)

The hard part for me would be putting up with not letting me sleep.  Bogie was always the most affectionate in bed.  I would grab him & hold him tight in my arms under the covers.  Then we would both go to sleep.

Good luck.  Let me know how if anything works.

For our LA-Area DRs...  Any signs or "remnants" of the wildfires where you live?  The footage on the news this morning has been quite sobering. :-\

DR elmore - As DR vixmom mentioned, a Certified Check should clear immediately - or at least be available for next-business-day-availability.  -It's one of the main reasons they're used for major real estate transactions since a certified check is already, in effect, "pre-drawn".

DR vixmom - So... This is just curiosity killing the proverbial cat, but... Did you try to keep the vixter away from HHW the past few days? Or did her homework and after-school activities help with that?

Well... It was supposed to rain all day here in NYC, but there's been a break in precipitation for the past hour or two.  Although, since I had sort of planned to stay in today, well...

Just an observation, I guess.  ;)

I am up - barely!  (TMI)

I will try and avoid going to the hospital today.  According to Mark, Stan was totally incoherent last night, which makes me feel better.  By that I mean that apparently he had no idea who I was yesterday, as opposed to being angry with me.

What a change in the weather. It was pouring at 10:15 when I left to go to ActorFest and now the sun is out and it's 65 degrees, and it's November 15th!

I hope this warm weather holds out to December 1st when we have the first day of the Basket Project. It's always easier to unload a truck when it's not raining or snowing or 10 degrees.

Larry, I have responded to the e-mail about tomorrow. See you bright and early. I hope Princeton is ready for u :-)

Anthony was interviewed by our local all news cable channel, New York 1. I don't know if he will be on some segment tonight or if they will put it into next week's edition of On Stage, the half hour theatre program run on the weekends. I suspect that because Patrick Sheward is a big muckety muck at Backstage and he's also a correspondent for On Stage that the segment will be next Saturday or Sunday or Monday.

ActorFest was a mob scene. Besides the exhibit hall there are casting sessions for various television projects and Bernard Telsey is also holding open calls.

Yes, Jose, I now have another tote bag. They come in handy when I go to the greenmarket or to Trader Joe's.

I must work on my Performance Evaluation. It's due on Wednesday. Since it's in electronic format I can put a copy on my flash drive, bring it home and put it on my computer here and fill it out uninterrupted by the work flow.

It's one of the last things I have to do before D-Day, November 25 (my last day at the office for those of you who don't remember :-)

Are you gonna stack all the waiting cartons in the hallway this time?     ;)

No. Not until the day before the Fed Ex pick up date. I'm hoping that this will occur no later than Wednesday of this week.  The greatest time involved after packing the cartons is sealing them with lots of packing tape, printing out the labels for Ground Service Fed Ex and attaching them to each carton and then marking the carton as well with the address in case something happens to the label. I may need to buy some more storage cartons, depending on how enthusiastic I get over this shipment.

The traumatic part was packing up every musical, opera, and operetta libretto; it was like losing a really good friend!

My postman just called since I had asked him about the certified mail yesterday. He has the check!

Is your postman the one who just boarded the plane for Switzerland?

Back from errands and whatnot.  The fires are nowhere near me, but they are exactly where I lived in 1971.

Whew!  I survived my hour at the dreaded Computer Services Desk.  The only time I was creeped out was by the big, swarthy guy in a Santa hat who complained to me about losing his computer reservation because he was reading.  Obviously, he wasn't reading the information on the reservation receipt that says you have only 5-minutes' grace from your appointed time.

I've now taped 14 of the 34 cartons, and it's time for lunch. After that I think I wll take another bath and get to work on the Loesser show.  Around 5:30 or so, I'll take my walk. I love all this space in the bookshelves now now!

And the check is here! Wow! It's almost an extra thousand than I'd remembered ($800+). Excellent.

Mae-Ling and Wae-Ling saw me returning from my morning walk, and they stayed to play with the fish and caterpillars for a while. Then we went for lunch at Wildflower. Isn't that exciting?

Something in our living room is beeping like a text message is being received. Except it isn't anyone's phone and we can't figure out what else it could be.
