Eminem's song wasn't performed at the Oscars last year. Was that the first time ever that a nominated song wasn't performed?

Since televised, I believe that was a first.

I know that Blake recently fell down a flight of stairs and Julie's Disney makeup person was working on him, but, it still looks like the stairs won.

Cooking sherry?!??!  That swill has never crossed my lips, nor been poured into a saucepan of mine!  If I want Sherry, I go for the good, real stuff!  -Preferably Spanish and dry.

I think a lot of us H & Ks are big Blake fans.

I applaud the man.  He's the last of the truly great ones.

I was thrilled with the Edwards award.  Totally unthrilled with the cretin who put together the clips.

Looks like another long. . .long. . .night ahead of us.

With this time delay, I wouldn't be surprised to see Janet Gaynor stopping by to pick up her Oscar for SUNRISE.

(special thanks to the mighty reditor)

Silly!  You put Vodka in Penne with Vodka sauce!

I use Sherry in various dishes.. and adds a great touch to marinades too.

As for the "white and gold" - the video clips from the Technical Awards ceremony... couldn't read them on my TV screen.

Janet also won for SEVENTH HEAVEN and STREET ANGEL.

Then, she would be allowed to appear thrice (were she alive).

Much better editing on the Kate tribute than on the Blake material.

Some of her best moments were reactions rather than actions.

When Tracy's doing that last speech in GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER and her eyes well with tears and she starts shaking, that's her most memorable moment in that movie.
