I had better stop catching up on the posts or I won’t have any surprises left.  Keith doesn’t care to watch the awards, so I’m breaking to spend the rest of the evening with him and will finish them tomorrow.  Good night.

Nice death tribute.  This is the best partay in town, but I wish there was more "fun" to be had - it's very staid and a bit boring tonight, except for Billy.  Did John Travolta and Sandra Bullock look like they HATED each other?

SEven down...and we're not to the big ones yet.

I expect the song to win, but it might not.

The "iffy" award beyond that is "screenplay."

A SWEEP IS POSSIBLE!

And if any film ever deserved 11 Oscars, other than "Ben-Hur" and "Titanic," it's "Return of the King."

Wasn't LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN fabulous??!!!!

This song they're singing from "A Mighty Wind" -- makes me feel like we're all the way back in the 70s.

Well, if there were ANY justice in the world, the Bellevue song would win.  Unfortunately, I don't think enough people saw the film.  It was so wonderful to actually hear a song.  Don't much care for the Mighty Wind song, even though my pal Annette wrote it.  The Bellevue song is a real original.

Actually, I think it's meant to go to Midnight - on the East Coast that is.... so... 45 minutes... At least it's not scheduled to run 4 hours like it has in the past - hasn't it?

It was a snappy song in a sea of ballads, but I'd need to hear all of the songds again (except "Kiss/Rainbow") before I'd make any selection.

I hope had you been on the OJ Jury you wouldn't've asked for a re-read of all the testimonmy before reaching a verdict!

I think that DR Tomovoz hit the nail on the head. . ."Into the West" is a song which grows on you. . .one hearing is not enough (unless you're a die-hard Annie Lennox fan - - hey, I thought her "Love Song for a Vampire" should've been nominated way back when).

A Chris Cooper fan only since LONE STAR?  I've been a fan since MATEWAN.

I think all the clips could have been better...Bob Hope has so many zingers and they can only do AA clips.  Not Hepburns best clips and Greg Peck got stinted.

Funny bit with Jack Black and Will Ferrell.
