Isn't there  a way of checking cell phone messages on any regular phone, though?

I don't think I would want liverwurst and onions on Amy's bread.

Well, Amy's does make a mean seeded rye that would go well with liverwurst and onions.  But most certainly not with the Monkey Cake.

And speaking of "bad shock"... I left my phone at home today too, so... :-\

I hate it when I do that!

But I did bring my laptop with me today since I needed to access some files for today's auditions, so at least I've had internet and email access.

It was, as I expected, very cold at lunch today. So glad to have a warm house to come home to after running my errands.

Surprisingly, no review copies arrived thus far today, so I do indeed have all day for myself!

I spent this afternoon on the phone with some friends and also watched four episodes of BONES. The show is so addictive. The 43 minutes flies by and then you go right into another one.

Among the ones I watched this afternoon was last year's Halloween episode with the corpse found inside a haunted maze (and another one inside a haunted house ride). I didn't remember the murderer there at all.

The last one I watched was the one with the kid buried in a time capsule. Very sad story but a good mystery.

Tonight I'll watch JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH on Blu-ray in 3-D plus skim through two days of AS THE WORLD TURNS, last night's 30 ROCK, and tonight's GHOST WHISPERER.

In other news...

I have to say that I've been enjoying the daily e-mails from Tasting Table New York.  Each day's e-mail/newsletter covers a different aspect of the food and wine scene in NYC - recipes, restaurants, cocktails, kitchen gear, happenings.  Best of all, none of it seems to duplicate the information from the New York Times nor from Time Out New York.  *And if you don't want to subscribe, you can always just log on daily to the website and check out the daily feature.

Heading down now to continue with leisure viewing. I have some computer maintenance things to tend to before I go, but then, an evening of pure pleasure.

OH!!!

I didn't realize that the ##th Anniversay Tour of Footloose is rehearsing here today too!  I happen to know a whole bunch of people on the production team, as well a bunch of cast members.  They just had a break, and when they came out to the lobby area, a frenzy of friendly hugs ensued!
