Is "Chestnuts" just called The Christmas Song?

Yes it is...I know I"m talking to myself but I do that all the time....Here's Nat King Cole"s version

DR Ron, what a weekend!  I'm glad all is well now & I hope you aren't too tired to enjoy the party.  I'm sure everyone will enjoy your food contributions.

DR Ron, what a weekend!  I'm glad all is well now & I hope you aren't too tired to enjoy the party.  I'm sure everyone will enjoy your food contributions.

My office is chaotic right now.  Our floor is hosting hors d'oeuvres, and there is hustling and bustling and general merriment and cheer.  It's all too too.

...I have no counter space for a TV in the kitchen.  My kitchen is compact, to put it kindly.
A compact kitchen - no larger than a powder room?

Not by much!  Not for the kind of cooking I love to do, that is.

Hopefully the three second rule applies.

I find it a lot easier to simply have a small television in the kitchen.

I like the small kitchen in my telelvision.   [ On Food Network, of course!  :) ]

I've got a microwave, a toaster oven, a Kitchen-Aid mixer, a Henckel's knife block and various/assorted jars for beans, rice, etc.  Sadly, that leaves only a little room here, and a little room there, to "whip stuff up" in.

My New Year's gift to myself MAY be a smallish "butcher block island" cart (if I can figure where I'll station it when it's not in use).

Evidently a forte has replaced my middle initial.

I'm sure my obscure musical jokes are bringing rampant hilarity to a select few.  :)

The sun is really trying to peek through all this overcast - it did manage, but for just a moment.  I think I'll go do the long jog now.

As for the Topic of the Day...

I remember being given two pieces of vintage sheet music when I was 10-years old or so: "The Christmas Waltz" and "The Jingle Bell Polka".  Both tunes have been special to me ever since I fell in love with the covers.

"The Christmas Song" ("Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire") - Yes, Nat King Cole's version of this classic Mel Tormé tune is a true classic. However, I also like Dianne Schurr's rendition too - that voice!

...And I guess others could come up with other set-ups for other years and categories of shows.  Funny and cool.
