And speaking of sleep...
With the addition of the Food Network Studio tour to my schedule tomorrow, I'm going to be in for a long day. Since I'm going to be in the 'hood, I'm going to go ahead and get my hair cut too down at Chelsea Barber - and I'm about a week overdue for a hair cut. I'm gonna try to get down there early enough to get my hair cut before the tour, but if I have to wait for a chair during the lunch "rush" then so be it. Then it's another afternoon of
Lion King auditions, followed up by another evening at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall for a recital by the tenor, Paul Groves.
I'm really looking forward this recital. He and his pianist, Pedja Muzijevic, will be performing song cycles by Beethoven, Britten, Fauré and Rachmaninov. I'm especially eager to hear Britten's "Holy Sonnets of John Donne", and Fauré's "La Bonne Chanson" - they were two of my "Dream Cycles" when I was in school, ones I wanted to play
and sing. I just hope my audition session doesn't run over since the recital is at 7:30, and I'm supposed to go until 7:00.
Oh.. Where was I?
Oh, yes...
Goodnight.
