Just finished watching DOSTANA....I enjoyed it. It wasn't the Indian homosexual revolution that some had hoped it to be, but it was a fun time pass. Pretty much what that CHUCK AND LARRY GET MARRIED movie probably was (I haven't yet seen it...although my niece and her husband loved it).

The movie is colorful and full of pretty people and some really good character actors...the aunt and the mom were hilarious! Neha's gay boss was pretty funny as well...of course that actor is like that character in every movie he makes regardless of whether the character is straight or gay.

In fact I have noticed this about Indian films...they have many characters that I would have guessed to be gay, but they aren't meant to be...maybe that is because most gay people in India still get married and live a "straight" existence and so many guys who would be considered "flaming" in our culture, are still considered straight in their culture.

Anywho, the movie was still fun if you don't take it seriously.

My other Bollywood movie today was the hit film JAANE TU...YA JAANE NA. What a wonderful suprise this movie was. I had avoided it because I thought it was just another college romance fluff piece that would not interest me much, but after hearing the soundtrack I got more and more curious and then I saw a couple of the musical numbers and decided that the cast looked like they really had some personality...and after watching it I was blown away. The movie stars Imran Khan in his very first film role. He is definately headed for stardom...he has "it"!

The rest of the cast was also very good and the script was endearing and you were really rooting for the characters. I am really glad that I watched it. It was much better then the average Bollywood film.

A big part of why I enjoyed it so much was because the kids reminded me of the type of people I would have been friends with in High School or college (had I gone to college).

That would be Abhishek Bachchan. He is quite a good actor. His father is the very, very famous Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan.

For you enjoyment, a photo of Abhishek with his wife actress Aishwarya Rai.

I've written a little over five pages - I'm having fun.  Maybe I'll write another page or two later - we'll see.  In the meantime, I think I'll have an English muffin and jam and watch another motion picture on DVD.

I just hired my own building inspector to go with us to do our home inspection in Austin on Wednesday.  This is the "framing inspection"...before they put up the drywall.

Peace of Mind.

Smart :)

Oh.... I wasn't planning on watching "Superstars of Dance", but since they seem to be featuring individuals and couples - along with some of the favorites from "So You Think You Can Dance?" well...

Pasha! :)

Why the HELL is it snowing here again????

They promised we were going into a warming trend.  Where do they think I live?  Portland?

Methinks Winter Vacation is about to get extended.  Again.  Help me.

I thought Pat Harrington died.   Maybe Pat Hingle is still alive.  I always liked Pat Hingle's performances.

Even though the snow continues to fall, even though all the cars, houses, and streets are now covered, even though the sky looks like your typical snow sky; I am now going to bed safe in the assurances of my DDIL Ann that all the snow will be gone by morning.

I'm just popping in real quick to say good night.  I have two very tired dogs who have played all the live long day.  Now instead of one dog snoring, I have 2!  :D

Vibes to DR Jane.  I hope you feel better soon.  I hate those bladder infections.  Ugh.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

More vibeage to the Vix clan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm was  going to try to attach a picture of Mr. B (as I've started calling him--it beats "Hey, You!") but the board wouldn't accept it.  Oh, well.

I have to get things ready for work tomorrow.   :-\

I wonder if Mr. B is sleeping on the bed with Sheena.

Thanks Danise.  I guess I'm lucky this has never happened before.

Shane Fenton starts it and Billy Fury finishes it up.....what might have happened if Sam Katzman had made a movie in England in 1961.

Did I spot Marion Lorne in that clip?
