Good morning!

Much, much colder here today, and we have a cloud cover, too, but it doesn't look much like rain. We'll see. Highs only in the 40s.

I'll continue with MATLOCK episodes today but I doubt I'll get as many watched as I did yesterday since I will be going out to lunch with friends today. Time will tell!

I've never seen the Gary Cooper film bk mentions in the notes, but I'll be looking for it on TCM or other movie channels. Sounds like it might be something I'd really like with that cast and given its genre.

***WRIST AND PLUMBING VIBES***
to DR Cillaliz!!!

Thanks!  The wrist is looking better this morning. It's got a big ugly scab in the middle, but the edges are starting to heal and I think it's going to be fine....eventually

The plumber arrived just as promised and is now pounding out the plaster in the wall behind the shower.  He's going to have to take most of the wall out to get to the pipes he needs to get to, but will replace all the galvanized steel pipes he finds with copper.    The wall is in the storage/kitty litter room, so I don't care if he has to take the whole wall out, especially if I'm getting the old galvanized steel taken out as a result.

The good news is he shouldn't have to damage the tile shower at all.  I am very pleased with this development.

The girls are not at all pleased with all the noise.

Time to go see what the wall looks like...or lack of wall looks like. I can hear him cutting the wire lathe behind the plaster.

Jumping off-line now to write a bit and then head downstairs to get cleaned up for lunch out later. And it's nice to see some blue sky peeping through those clouds. Keep it up!

Lost 2 more lbs since Monday, my nurse looked at me very sadly.   I have to try harder to get more food in me.   I have to sit very still after it goes in so it will stay in so I will be away from the computere for a while.  I promised I would get a can in this morning.  She wants at least 3 cans  by the end of the day although the ultimate goal is 4 a day

That's our vixmom....She certainly can Can-Can-Can-Can!   :)

I love all the Gary Cooper - Deborah Kerr titles mentioned, thus far.

Particular favorites for me are "Friendly Persuasion" from Cooper and "Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison" from Kerr.  Ask me tomorrow, and I'll say something different.

For all wondering, I have NOT yet seen a doctor.

I am not "over it".

I am calling again today and asking what the point of the questionnaire and solicitiousness were on Tuesday when no one has bothered to check in with me or has tried to get me in to a doctor.

Perhaps now that I am into day 8, they'll give me a little more credence.

WRIST & PLUMBING VIBES FOR DR CILLA!

Cilla, please don't mess with a burn.  If it isn't healing correctly you should get something for it.  Are you putting an antibiotic ointment on it?

As JR knows, Frances Farmer was originally slated to co-star with Gary in Beau Geste, but felt the role was beneath her (can't say I disagree--Susan Hayward is pretty much wasted in it).

For those that might be interested, here's the Oregonian obituary on Dan in Toronto's cousin:
