I'm up, and it looks like it's very nice out.  Handyman Doug will be here at nine this morning, and I hope to be jogging by ten.

Excellent Cooper/Kerr choices.  I would add to Cooper, Morocco, and I would add to Kerr The Gypsy Moths.

I forgot FRIENDLY PERSUASION! I cannot believe it.

I walked 25 blocks to 107th Street, stopped in my storage space and picked up some cartons. I think i shall play amongst my filing cabinets for a bit and distribute the largesse.

DR JMK did you get that jewelry appraised yet?  Let's get going on it....you don't have anything else to do.

I wonder if by largesse DR Elmo means "cash" and that he keeps his unreported moolah in the filing cabinets of his storage space!

Adding two Gary Cooper films from DR CP's List:

DESIRE with GC and Marlene Dietrich, a very funny comedy....very funny

BEAU GESTE - without Miss Frances Farmer....but with that sadistic Brian Donlevy....

Like DR MATTH - I have never seen the Gary Cooper movie that MR BK mentions in the NOTES.

I've actually managed to get a "live" person to speak to at my clinic, and my doctor's very own scheduling assistant will be given my message.

This should get me through today, although I cannot speak for tomorrow.  Tomorrow is not only another day, it's the last day of the week...and a weekend looms during which my doctor will not be available.

If I were even remotely "better" than I think I was Tuesday morning, this would all be a non-issue.  But...alas...no...I probably got four hours of sleep last night, even though I went to bed at 11 p.m. and arose (for the final time) at 6:15 a.m.

WRIST & PLUMBING VIBES FOR DR CILLA!

Cilla, please don't mess with a burn.  If it isn't healing correctly you should get something for it.  Are you putting an antibiotic ointment on it?

Yes, I'm cleaning it with peroxide (gently) and putting neosporin on it.  I keep it bandaged all day to protect it and leave the bandage off when I'm sleeping so it can breathe.  It looks lots better today.  The redness around the center of it is lessening and it's just got a scab on it.  I had so much going on yesterday and I wasn't that careful so I think I just bumped it a few times and irritated it.  I have no problem going to a doctor, but at this point I don't think it's infected, just ugly.  There are lots of things and people like that ;)

Probably going to go in tomorrow or Monday.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at her signature on the loan document--she evidently couldn't decide whether she was capital "F" Frances or small "f" frances, and kind of did a combo thing.  And her "Farmer" just kind of scrawls off into jibberish.  I probably read too much into these signatures, but it's been one of the interesting things I've noticed as I've collected them from various periods of her life.  Obsessed?  Me?

I got a copy of the PAL JOEY cd from the 1980 London production starring Denis Lawson as Joey and Sian Phillips as Vera....

I hope she made it a point to say sometime during the evening:

"Darling, I adore early English perpendicular."

And a CD of 20 of the BEST songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber - by the famous Orlando Pops Symphony.

Each CD was only $1.

I'm also very aware of what burns can do.  When I was a kid, we were driving to a local state park to meet friends for a picnic.  My mom was carrying a pot of hot coffee on her lap.  I don't know how it happened exactly but the whole thing spilled on her lap.  Dad told us to get out of the car and walk to where the others were going to meet us and he took her straight to the hospital.  She was in the hospital for 2 weeks and it took a long time for her to heal after she came home.  So, I know not to mess with burns.  I'll be ok

Keith Bryce is having an event Sunday, January 18, in Park City, Utah.  I have been invited for the Bloody Mary Brunch, and the exhibit titled The Paper Doll Show.  It is at the Silver Queen Gallery.

Set to the strains, on a CD-R provided by DR MBarnum, of a Bollywood beat!

I hope you told them what color the goop is, DR Ron. That usually makes a difference. Yellow or green means a doctor's appointment.

Well I guess I can wait, DR JMK.

Yes, it's funny.  She may have thought signing Frances Farmer might get her a bit more on the loan than if she signed Frances Anderson or Frances Lobley.....

At least she didn't give him the Marion Foster treatment.

DR Cilla even if you are being gentle the peroxide could be irritating the skin.  These days the dermatologist tells me not to use it.

BTW, the Alex North CD I found yesterday is a treasure trove of great North themes - there are only two copies here and I heartily recommend it (the CD is conducted by North) - it includes, Unchained Melody, The Racers, Viva Zapata, The Bad Seed, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Bachelor Party, The 13th Letter, Stage Struck, I'll Cry Tomorrow, Les Miserables, The Rose Tattoo, and Desiree.
