I went off to get another can in and fell asleep for a couple of hours again.  When I woke up my throat was very sore and my voice is the worse its been so far.   They did warn me that the cumalative effects of the continued radiation would continue to mount up, I guess this is what they were talking about.

Sigh.  Did you begin taking the medication for your throat?

Hello DR Vixmom

I will play "A Taste of Honey" in honour of you today.

The news here - my car is being serviced.  There are no euphamisms there OK!

I am reading #7 book in the trilogy trilogy  by Robin Hobb. (She dwells in the Seattle area)

Thank you for the travel vibes. I don't leave until the weekend.

Also, I talked with my sister Sunday. She is doing well with the chemo. Her side effect was really sore joints for two days. So far, so good.

Great-CONTINUED VIBES THE SIDE EFFECTS ARE MILD!

It was many moons ago I wrote of my enjoyment of "In Bruges". I am pleased that the world is catching up!

I'm catching up on a wonderful UK series. (I have the three seasons here). "Fat Friends". (It has subtitles if you need them).

Biggest joke of the day - The President's award to John Howard - known throughout the land for his lack of compassion and his clinging on to values belong to colonialism at its worst.

This is the man who is denial about the wrong done to our indiginous people and their need to have an apology before they can move on. The man who locked up the innocent children of illegal immigrants for months and years.  (all illegal immigrants fleeing another country to come to "freedom" must be terrorists of course).  The man who blindly followed Dubya everywhere like a lap dog.

Let's hope the world had moved on and "hope" for humanity is part of our lives.

No, not yet - I have some stuff I can drink to numb it but I haven't gotten up the nerve to try and drink it down yet as I have been feeling queasy and don't want the nausea to start again

Edmund Purdom was also in TITANIC with Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb, playing Herbert Lightoller, who was played by Kenneth More in A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.

Although Herbert was Mr. Lightoller's middle name he always went by Charles Lightoller.

DR Vixmom - sorry "they" were so right.  Vibes for your throat and voice!

I am afraid I am feeling a little bit sorry for myself today - I think I will go lie down for a while and see if a little nap will restore my spirits
