Hello,  I have started using the painmeds and it is making a big difference - although I have been sleepy

I'm glad they are working.  Do you need to consume the contents of a can before each pill?

DR Jennifer, I am so surprised your sister had to drive the fluid to the lab instead of going straight home to rest that I did a brief google search.  Resting, or taking it easy, is highly recommended.  I also read different times needed for the results.  They were 7 to 10 days.  I wonder if your sister calls in two weeks if the results might be in.

Continued vibes all is well!

I wonder if things are different here with medicare.  I'm guessing she did not go in and let my brother-in-law deliver the package.

It is weird to me too. Especially not to tell people that they will have to do this.  What would have happened if they had not been able to fit them in until the end of the day.

TOD:

Movies:

Anand (1971), Blossoms in the Dust, Brokeback Mountain.

Plays:

The Brain from Planet X (really...gave me goose bumps and I can't wait to see it again someday!)

Books:

Peter Gether's books on Norton the cat...best books I ever read!

They were wonderful.  I also understand why the Humane Society (I think it was them) decided not to use Norton's photo on their calendar. ;D

I'm reading all kinds of crazy additions to chicken salad.

Relish.

Feta.

cranberries.

Nothing weird or crazy about any of those additions to me.  -Now, I don't think I would put all three of those together at the same time, but...

Relish is much easier to add instead of chopping up pickles.  -And a lot of classic chicken salad recipes call for pickles/relish, since it's just like tuna salad, but using chicken instead.

Now, I'd probably use the feta and cranberries together, and probably add some walnuts or almonds too to the mix.  -There's a great salad combination of feta, cranberries and toasted hazelnuts mixed with radicchio and romaine.

To me the relish sounded semi-normal.

I love feta. So it wasn't that i thought i would dislike it. It's just i never in a million years would have thought to include in a chicken salad.

And the cranberries sounded just weird to me.

I ended up making a delicious combination.

I had already cooked and chilled the chicken.

I put celery and onion in the food processor. And a bit of dill. Lemon juice. Garlic salt. Pepper. Mayo. And the chicken.  And one tablespoon of relish.

No feta. No cranberries.

I put the chicken in last. Although i wanted it like chicken salad spread and not chunky.

It turned out so good. I had it on a piece of pumpernickel bread. Yum!

Finally we have a Christmas Tree picture, taken just before the tree was put away on Monday.

This room is so cute.  I searched and couldn't find a miniature doll house ;)

Actually, Ant did a similar search recently and to his dismay found that all the pictures of his doll houses are no longer on line.

Oh, well, he will just have to show them to people in person.

I"m not sure how many people here watch top chef. But i was really unhappy with who they sent home. I"m curious who other people's favorites are. My favs before last night were: fabio, jeff, ariane. But i think that jamie and stefan are really good. To me they were the top tier. Then there is hosea who is okay. But to me leah, radhika, carla are the ones who need to go home first.  I hate that they ended up voting last night purely on the one night. I think they should consider the whole as well. The 3 i mentioned have never done well. And will clearly not win. I am really curious who will win. I have no idea. But i do expect stefan and jamie to at least by top 4 for sure. ifpoai spfidpf[aisfsdafdsafisafo[iipipfaispdfisapfipi

Oh, wait, it's Anthony with his new apparel for the frigid temperatures in Wisconsin (he also has some chemical warmers in case the hat, gloves, coat and boots are not enough).

A plane has gone down in the Hudson. US Airbus 380 just left LaGuardia, about 60 people on board, I hope everyone is okay.

Re: the use of celery in chicken salad.

It's not that i dislike celery. Just not crazy about big chunks. Putting it in the food processor made it very fine yet gave the chicken salad great flavor.

Olives sound like an interesting idea. I never would have thought of that!

They just updated the passenger count: 146.  Thankfully, there are a lot of people in yellow life-jackets standing on the wings and being taken out of the plane.

The plane was en route to Charlotte, NC - one of my regular routes.  :-\

They're thinking that the plane flew into a flock of geese and that caused the problem. The tv news said a few minutes ago that there were about 60 were on board but then they just said that the plane's capacity was 140. Beats me.

Hello,  I have started using the painmeds and it is making a big difference - although I have been sleepy

I don't think so, although it just so happens that I did both times i took it

Food with pain meds is a good idea to help prevent nausea.
