Has anybody heard from Danise? td? Dakota?

I have seen a very short comment from each of them on Facebook.  Maybe they will visit here over the weekend.

Just read about the Cole Porter review with Victoria Clark and David Hyde Pierce at Lincoln Center.  It sounds de-lovely.  I hope it's being recorded--or better yet, broadcast on PBS.

What? With the delousy "see how hard I'm acting" Victoria Clark?

I like women who show effort.

DR Laura, thanks for posting the orange kitten video. When I had everyone over for Christmas brunch, my mom complained about my not having a tree up. "I had 6 cats and still put up a tree". (Never mind the fact that our house is so small there really isn't a place to put one...)

Now I can just say: "See"? Imagine this same thing with a 16 pound cat!

Initially, thing are OK for the M-I-L. She's still in the hospital, but is doing PT, and the F-I-L is also coping better. This has been a big wake-up call for all of us and a good opportunity for my DH to spend some QT with the P's.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And the hospital cafeteria still does not have any lime Jell-O, but it is going through a remodel, so there's still hope.

I've done a lot of remodeling in my life, but never with lime Jell-O. I think I would be more inclined to throw it out and start over...

Well, by having a bigger house, for starters.

I did decorate the door, the mantel, the mailbox, and cooked a delicious (if I say so myself) brunch, but somehow it wasn't enough. Moms...gotta love 'em!

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
British Writer, Lawyer John Mortimer Dead at 85

LONDON —  British lawyer and writer John Mortimer, creator of the curmudgeonly criminal lawyer Rumpole of the Bailey, died Friday. He was 85.
Mortimer's family said he died early in the morning at his home in the Chiltern Hills northwest of London, with his wife and children at his side. They did not disclose the cause of death.

Mortimer combined a career as a lawyer with a large literary output that included dozens of screen and stage plays and radio dramas. His most famous creation was Horace Rumpole, a cigar-smoking, wine-loving barrister who appeared in a TV series and a string of novels and stories.
