As for the Topic of the Day...
As a kid: Friday and/or Saturday nights were usually spent over at the house of my cousins, Ron and Alex. The fathers would play pool or poker downstairs, the mothers would play mahjongg upstairs, and the kids would watch TV and/or run around the neighborhood. Most of these
soireés would last until the wee hours of the morning. There were more than a few times when Saturday evening would become Sunday morning, and my parents would just go ahead and take us all to the 9:30am Mass on the way home.

As a teenager: The weekend family get-togethers did continue into my teens, but if I did end up going out with my classmates, we'd usually end up at Pizza Hut. However, once I started getting involved with community theater productions, a lot of my weekends were spent either at cast parties or at a great little café off of Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria. -I can't remember the name right now, but I sure do remember those onion rings!
In college: It was not unusual for me to be in a practice room late at night. I loved practicing in the wee hours of the morning - something about the general stillness in the air helped to make my practicing more constructive and fruitful. Otherwise, I can't seem to recall a regular late night hang-out, but I know I did.
*Present Day: New York City.
