That is great!

It most certainly made me laugh out loud.  And, yes, the legal disclaimer is chuckle-worthy too.

Whew.....a library with a swimming pool and a skating rink seems more unusual to me than a library that allows dogs to browse.   But I am from Indiana.

Here they just have cats live in the library then write books about them and make a lot of money.

It was nice to see my volunteer administrator friends today and not have to give the treasurer's report.

Wow! This weekend the following are coming to our downtown theater
Slumdog Millionaire, Revolutionary Road and The Reader.  I still want to see Gran Torino which is still playing.  Not sure I have time to see all of them, but I WILL see Slumdog.

Yep, this Friday is the "Nationwide" release date for those movies.  Happy Watching!

Also, i can't even imagine a library letting dogs in.  It sounds very odd to me. What if they chew on a book?

Our local bookstore used to invite owners with pets to brouse (even provided treats and a water bowl). I suspect most dogs have better book manners than do most children.

Used to-it doesn't anymore?

There is a nice bookstore in town that doesn't let dogs in because of Orlando.

Orlando is extremely overweight, 18 years old & diabetic.  I worry about him.

Well, better go.  Tonight I'm going to the tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  I haven't seen it before so I'm looking forward to it

I need to read Dewey.  The librarian who wrote the book will be signing books at the local library Monday night.  I'm thinking about going to ask her if the kitten they found around Christmas time has moved into the library

WOW!

Just checking the "local news" for New York City... -I didn't realize that the Wall Street Journal building was evacuated today due to someone sending 13 envelopes filled with a "white powder" to their offices.  Thankfully, the powder was harmless, and was most likely flour.

And a fire just broke out at Mt. Sinai Hospital... which seems to be under control right now. I hope everyone is out of harm's way.

Nope - Rehoboth Beach has been Ashlandized.  When we arrived, dogs could go into stores, bars, and on restaurant patios - now even the cafe's with sidewalk seating don't allow animals. Of course you can walk your dog right up to the sidewalk seating and he can greet the diners. The bookstore still puts water bowls on the sidewalk, and has a walk-up self-serve counter where you can order snacks, and they provide free dog-treats (and chairs where you and the pooch can enjoy your snacks, and browse thru a book or two.)

I purchased my ticked online for SLUMDOG (Friday night's 10pm show)last night using my forgotten Christmas present; a gift certificate from Cinemark.  :)
