MY TREATISE

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the real article, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently writing a dissertation on the state of the treatise.

Ingrid Tulean (Thulin) followed soon thereafter by Susan Gordon, then later Yvette Mimieux and Tuesday Weld and then my first really MAJOR crush, Hayley Mills and Hayley Mills.

I was however always attracted to Kim Novak. (not quite the same way)

DR TOMovOZ - I have looked under the title of REBELS WITHOUT A CAUSE but the CD listed at Amazon doesn't have all of the singers you have been listening to!

Saturday a work day.  oh well.

I got my copy of MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION yesterday.  I watched the early version since I had never seen it.  Robert Taylor and Irene Dunne are very good, and I especially liked Sara Haden and Betty Furness in their roles as well.

DR MATTH was talking about the gossipy friend in ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS.  That was Jacqueline deWit who also played, memorably, the model who got Joan Crawford into the club game in THE DAMNED DON'T CRY.

"Oh look, honey.  It's all modeling, only this is at night and it pays better!"

Looks like Skip's show HERRINGBONE has been announced for La Jolla Playhouse this summer, in August/September.

I'm awake!  Early on a Saturday morning.  So quiet. Probably should get some coffee and do some email.  And that's all I have to say about that.

Saturday morning greetings!  It's cold and sunny here in SW OH today.  Later, DH Richard and I are going to Oxford for a combined concert by the Miami University and University of Michigan Men's Glee Clubs.  We're going to go early enough to have dinner someplace uptown.

Good morning, all! I deliberately slept late and now I am awake. I've just finished my oatmeal - cinnamin, with pecans and dried cherries - and I'm ready for some coffee and my meds. I need to prepare this week's meds and call the pharmacy about the refills I need. Later today I'll walk down and pick them up.

Beyond that, I'm back to Frank Loesser's score, and I need to think about my upcoming tax meeting. That's my day.  I still have several Christmas gifts left to hand out and I'm a bit embarassed by how far past Jan 6 I am for doing so.

Tomorrow's my next Finale lesson, so I needto play at the computer with that today as well and I need to think about getting a small keyboard for inputting notes. Oy! I could use some sell-that-damned-property-ASAP-vibes!

DR FJL, great news about HERRINGBONE! Do I see a trip to LaJolla in your future?

DR George, thanks for sending the DVD! I'll let you know when it arrives.

I suspect Skip will go out to La Jolla at some point, just not sure for how long.

It's unlikely that i'd be going to see it, though.

Good morning!

Overcast this morning. I guess we're going to have some more rain (looks like it drizzled during the night), but it's very mild for January, just the perfect temperature for a day in January.

I have so many shows on the DVR, I don't have a clue right now which one I'll pick to watch while eating lunch. I'm leaning right now toward DAMAGES but it might be SUPERNATURAL.

Well, we're going to Oxford earlier than planned, because we have no running water.  There are half a dozen city trucks up in the next block and our neighbor said they told him it might be 24 hours before we're back online.  We've made a reservation in the Hampton Inn and will go to Cincinnati for church from there tomorrow - an unplanned vacation!
