I think I did, but it is fun having the English and Japanese version on one CD, and a few of those songs I had completely forgotten about.

One Bollywood movie down.....

BIKHRE MOTI (1971) starring Jeetendra and Babita.......brothers separated in childhood..one good and one bad, crying mothers, adopted daughters, plenty of coincidental meetings, a bit of "dishoom, dishoom," Helen doing an item number,  and finally some squishy dil.

The viewing public certainly got ther rupees worth!

Finished Magnificent Obsession - a fine weepie.  I'm listening to Mary Martin in Hello, Dolly!  Deelightful.  The only problem with Archiv is that they obviously have gotten a CDR of the album master from which they duplicate.  Unfortunately, it hasn't been remastered and it's completely lackluster in sound quality and oomph and there are volume differences between tracks, all of which would have been fixed had this actually was released officially.  The big question is why RCA never bothered, since it's the best of the Dolly recordings.  To hear Miss Martin's beautiful tones on these songs instead of Miss Channing's screeching, is wonderful.

I'm beginning to think that visitor number two will not be showing up - which will be the third time this week.  I shall not be happy if that turns out to be the case.

And now to enjoy JAWAN MOHABBAT (1971) which stars Shammi Kapoor and two of my favorite yesteryear actresees, Asha Parekh and Mumtaz.

If nothing else it is bound to have some great musical numbers...

Hi, folks.

Opera report:  The music was fantastic.  Mark Morris' high-concept production: not so much.

A couple of castrecl folk had problems with the use of the word  "thee-ter" and rhyming it with "sweeter" - which I had felt OK to use when we recorded because of this Times article of a few weeks back:

Does this mean after today's castrecl that I've now had the "fifteen minutes" I'm entitled to?

I talked to my brother tonight.  They've got him on about 8 different medications right now so he's a little weak and said he's dizzy every time he stands up.  He's not supposed to work for 2 weeks but is plannning to go back Monday.  I told him he's crazy
