I have to go run errands which will be a nice break from the intense concentration on the MHF notes write-up, which takes me forever between figuring out what I meant to say, want to say and the close scrutiny to insure I miss nothing. Sure is a good score.

DR DAW or singdaw, since I refuse to accept the new identity, I am sorry you're feeling poorly but I'm so glad you live far enough away that I'm not burdened with the guilt of wanting to schlep some delish chicken soup and vitamins to your door and being unable to fulfill the commitment. Thank you for helping me live guilt free. :)

Get better.

Not too much new for me on tv tonight.

I have more American Idol auditions.

But the most exciting show is Project Runway Canada 2 debuts tonight.

I currently have a temperature of 103, nausea, and - not to put too fine a point on it - stuff coming out of both ends.     :P

Needless to say, I did not make it in to work today.

Have you been eating peanut products?

DR Jane, re: your reading problem. They must make magnifying glasses that are square that can be used for reading.

Or have you ever tried a stronger light like Ott Light?

I just finished a few books that were either hard cover or larger paperbacks. And that was so pleasant. Right now i have a series of small paperbacks (which i dislike). And the size of type is really really small.  Don't like it. Would love some kind of magnifying glass!

Dan (the Man) thank you for the detailed info on Kindle.

George, how often would you even need air conditioning in your part of the country?   Bryan did need to put it in his condo in Portland.

Here's another funny clip about the evils of Pay/Cable television. I remember seeing these ads at the movies in the late 60s and early 70s and the petitions in the theatre lobbies.

Pay TV?

LOL!  TV Guide ran article after article about the evils of pay TV back then.  I wonder if I was the only one who imagined that there was going to be an actual box with coin slots attached to my TV requiring quarters everytime I wanted to watch my shows.

LOL-I think so.

I'm wondering if today might be a good day to ride the new light rail downtown to take a photo of the floating jellyfish and then post it here. What do you think?

Be careful DR Laura, I saw a movie about a giant floating jelly fish once. It made mincemeat out of Tokyo

MBarnum, you just gave me an idea. I just sent an email to the folks in charge of service projects suggesting we help folks install those converter boxes if they need help.

Thanks.

Great idea! :)

All of the seniors in my senior choir are calling me, completely panicked, as there are actual flakes of snow on the ground, preventing them from singing today.  ;)

Ask them if they're ready for digital.

I am curious to know from the folks here -- is it difficult to install that converter box? Has anyone here done it? (It seems most folks here have cable or satellite.)

I have no idea.  We have satellite & I didn't set that up.

It snowed a wee bit in the South of Jersey this morning, just enough to have to brush off the car.  We are suppose to get more this evening but then it going to turn to freezing rain tomorrow morning.  That will probably require more than just brushing  off the car.
