I know nothing of tonight, but I do know that when Loretta Young won for "The Farmer's Daughter," it was unexpected, and she was seated farther away. She wore an emerald green taffeta dress with yards of skirt, ruffles, peplums and was clearly not meant for trying to get up to the stage.

I also know that when the delicious Gloria Grahame won for "The Bad and the Beautiful," she tripped on the steps leading up to the stage and uttered a very audible, "Oh shit!" Most people presumed she had a toddy or two beforehand to calm her nerves.

Loretta, of course would never say such a thing!

I think it's GREAT they're switching it up and putting some big awards up front. They're trying to keep the audience around.
