Who were the protester that Penn was referring to?
I once held Burle Ives Oscar. I found on the floor in one of the rooms in the Billy Rose Collection at the NYPL. It was being used as a door stop!No one at the library knew why it was there.

I thought it was very unfunny. He was spoofing Joaquin Phoenix who recently appeared on David Letterman like that and proved to be a rather difficult and disconnected interview. And how many people who don't watch Letterman got what he was doing? Why did they let him do it?

I've been in a show that was picketed by his followers too.
I'm watching a repeat of the arrivals and they just showed Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, so she was with him tonight

DR DakotaCelt - The Rev. Fred Phelps is not a "nutcase". "Nutcase" implies that he has or had some sort of redeeming value. He is a very vile, dangerous - and sadly still influential - hate-monger.
Who did "write" the music for tonight's ceremony? -well, for that opening number.
I like Adrian Brody...
