Wiccan Rosaries sounds like the name of a Goth group.

In honor of today's notes, I just spent forty minutes on the phone with Mr. Schmidt - we had a wonderful conversation and I'm sending him today's notes.

So there is no new LIFE tonight. But there is LOST (yeah!).

I am also most definitely going to watch the TOP CHEF reunion show.

Unfortunately i don't get the CW, so i can't watch one of my favs ANTM tonight (the canadian station that carries it does not play in Quebec). But they do reair it on saturday nights. So i can record it then.

I'm not sure if anyone else watches this show, but bravo is starting Season 2 of MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL tonight. I liked the first season. But we don't get bravo here. And the canadian station that shows this is not showing it yet. :(

Oh to answer Jane's question from yesterday.  Unfortunately all my friends have daytime jobs so I don't have anyone to play with during the day!

I'm sorry you don't have anyone to play with.

Good vibes driving and at the doctor's!

Very ugly. It sures sums up my opinion of the generally unfriendly crazy diva! I still have memories of her and her unpleasant all-girl band from the Men's Chorus benefits. And she's never acknowledged that without my selling her the London cast recording of CATS to learn the "Big Song" she'd still be waiting tables.

re: last night's AMERICAN IDOL.

I think that the 2 i mentioned yesterday are 99% sure through to the finals (lil rounds, and the blind guy).

The third person should be interesting. The judges seemed to like jorge the 3rd best. But he was shown so little that i just don't see him being popular.

There were 2 girls i vaguely remember from before who i would love to see go to the wildcard round: the blond country girl, and arriana (17 year old cute as a button who sang ABBA).

I will be very curious to see who gets 3rd and also to see who they pick to sing tomorrow.  And i also wonder since the 3rd tonight is most probably a guy, will they end up selecting 2 girls from the wildcard round. I mean right now they most likely have 6 guys and only 3 girls. That would be kind of weird if there were 8 or 9 guys and only 3 or 4 girls in the finals.

Just because she sings Memory doesn't mean she has one.

That can be said of several stars I've helped on their climb.

We were disappointed in THE REAPER.  The first 2/3rd of the show was everything we don't care about the show & very little of what we do enjoy.  The last third gave us hope the next episode will be much better.

I've been watching a very interesting series called Star Academie. It is basically the Quebec version of American Idol. It's the first year i've followed it. But it's interesting how differently they do things from Idol.

They are on every night except fri-sat.  They have 30 minute shows mon-thurs. These kids basically live in a house and they film them. But on tuesdays either the girls or the guys sing for the judges (in the house). And the judges pick the bottom 3. So one week it is B3 girls and the next week it is B3 guys.

Then on sunday they have a big 2 hour spectacle. Last week Celine Dion was on (her husband is one of the judges and their mentor).

It was really something. They all did duets with her. And then the bottom 3 (girls this week and guys last week) sing.

But the interesting part is how they decide who goes home. The public saves one person. And the judges save one person. It's pretty cool.

Also the judges seem to give a lot more advice. The songs are mostly in french. But the contestants are allowe to sing in English if they want. One girl did the most amazing duet with Celine (the song from Titantic).

re: last night's AMERICAN IDOL.
That would be kind of weird if there were 8 or 9 guys and only 3 or 4 girls in the finals.

If that's where the talent leads, so be it. South of the equator equipment should not be a consideration. I believe the final 36 was male-heavy in the talent category - and so I expect the final 12 to be male heavy as well.

If AI wanted an even boy-girl mix for the final 12, then the semi-finals should have been segregated.

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from CLT!

*We somehow arrived ten minutes early after leaving LGA about 25 minutes late. -We sat and sat on the Tarmac for a while - with no announcements from the cockpit or flight attendants. ??? In any case, more time for BBQ and free WiFi. ;)

Curious minds want to know what Mr Reed would think of Tony Trelos - who appears nightly at The Lobster House.

I watched Point of Terror last night, too.....

bk - Yes, I do remember John as being quite attractive and Handsome. -But didn't feel the need to mention that earlier. Glad you did. ;) Hmmm... He's single...

*If you get a chance, see if you could ask him about the first time he conducted COPACABANA in Richmond. -I think it was the first time I had seen someone perspire, sweat through a suit jacket. He did a great job, but he just switched places with the MD on keys, so he was conducting his boss. I'd sweat through a tux too in that position.
