So, I took 116 photos of ladybugs today, and none of them turned out.

Sounds like DR td and DR DAW had great singing gigs today.  And of course DR JMK probably had a spotlight on his tie!

I am so proud of you, DR Jose.

Did everyone there think you were nuts? Did you have to explain it?

No one else was around when I was taking the pics.

Additionally, it "seems" I take pictures of everything, so a carpet doesn't seem so strange.

I had quite a full evening of very different entertainment selections.

I started with EASTER PARADE. I've watched it umpteen times and always enjoy it, but I always wish there had been some multidirectional sound stems available for it so it could have had more than a mono soundtrack on the DVD. I do so enjoy those fabulous orchestrations and vocal arrangements when there's some heft to them in the audio design.

Love the photos, DR Cillaliz - especially the one of you and your mom.

I agree.  Thank you for posting them.  I like the stripes in your suit.

Next, I went dramatic and watched THE DIVORCEE on DVD from the FORBIDDEN HOLLYWOOD collection Vol. 2. I always enjoy Norma Shearer, and she won the Oscar for this (though I think she did more accomplished acting the next year in A FREE SOUL though she lost the Oscar that year to Marie Dressler in MIN AND BILL.)

At 10:50 the dog began a torrent of hysteric and frenzied barking. I am thinking about calling 911 and getting the police over here. I left a note under the apartment of 5C above the dog asking "Is The Barking Annoying You?" I am not happy at all.

Perhaps if the police give him a disturbance citation this will never happen again?

Next, I watched THE TUDORS. This is the second episode of the season. Lots to do with the rebellion in the North moving toward London. A few palace intrigues weren't all that interesting.

Next I watched Thursday night's 30 ROCK. There were some funny bits with Jack firing a bunch of people due to cutbacks, and it was fun seeing Roger Bart playing an effeciency expert that Liz beds to try to keep her show from facing cuts.

DR Cillaliz - To crop a photo of yourself in Facebook, you have to tag yourself in the photo first.  *It took me a while to realize that myself.

I was trying on Photobucket, not facebook. but thanks, I didn't know that

I ended my evening watching the season premiere episode of RENO 911! There was a new character taking the place of Dep. Garcia. I'm not sure how I feel about that at the moment. I have this week's episode to watch, and we'll see if he makes a better impression.

Maybe tomorrow you could call the police to do a welfare check -- the dog is barking like crazy and you haven't seen the neighbor for several days.

Last year, "Britains Got Talent" found Paul Potts, this year it is Susan Boyle.

*Even if the performance is not "perfect", her story and the reaction from the judges and the audience are, well... see for yourself.

**And if you think that the audience reaction are loud on "American Idol", well...

I believe my work project tomorrow will be Criterion's IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES. I have both the DVD and Blu-ray versions to review, and I will be starting with the regular DVD.

On THE LAST METRO, I started with the Blu-ray, and I don't think that was quite fair to the standard though I tried to be as objective as I could. It's much harder to adjust one's expectations when he's watched a film at 1080p and then rewatches it at 480p.

So that's my assignment for myself for tomorrow. I've never seen the film (though I've obviously heard much about it down through the decades), so it should be an adventure.

I have some computer maintenance stuff to do, and then it's downstairs to bed.

Good night!
