Dear Ginny, I've never seen a white squirrel before.  Nice picture.

... I like how you put together the Japanese theme basket.

Thanks, DR Jane - I just hope it brings in a lot of money for the AAUW Educational Foundation at the state convention next weekend.  This is the conference I was in charge of last year and the year before and this year I'm not even going.  My sister and I are meeting in Ft. Wayne, IN, for a couple of days at the Vera Bradley outlet sale.

Thanks for all the interesting comments about my white squirrel photo.  As you've probably guessed, I'm not much of a nature person, but sometimes there are phenomena that even I can't ignore!

Loved the white/albino squirrel.  We had a lot of them on the campus at Oberlin when I was there.  In fact, the Gay Alumni newsletter is called The White Squirrel!!  :D

How is Vix Mom doing?  Every time I think I have it bad, I think of her and count myself lucky.

Thank you.  She is laying at my feet as I type this.  This keyboard sticks and makes it very hard to type.

As for the news, I'm not sure what I can say since I finely gave up and hired a lawyer.

Just taking a short internet moment to check in.  But as Laura always says, I have nothing to say.

Must now do laundry.

I think I can say that he will and that my lawyer said I should also have a "sizeable" settlement.

Collecting it may be the problem.

Back from a lovelier than lovely vocal recital at the [J. Pierpont] Morgan Library.  Up and coming Canadian baritone Russell Braun and American soprano Jennifer Black.

DR elmore3003, I think you will want to see the forthcoming exhibit "Creating the Modern Stage: Designs for Theatre and Opera," running from May 22 through August 16.

And how was Mr. Graae as Frosch?  I would think that he would be incomparably hilarious in the role!

Hi Danise! I hope the chinchy bassa doesn't file bankruptcy and that you get your settlement so you can repair your house.

Oh, DR DAW, I love the Morgan Library and have been wanting to go back!  Richard and I were just talking about trying to get to NYC before our funded Metro cards expire on August 31.  Now you've given me another incentive!

I've mentioned this before, but the book An Illuminated Life is a fascinating account of the establishment of the Library and the woman who ran it for years.
