I was listening to the Liz Callaway  Frank Loesser album again.  It is so lovely, but I wish the tempos were just atad faster on some songs.

If the number in question is "My Heart Is So Full Of You," then, too bad, you're wrong. ;)

Josh's recital was fun, but aggravating: he changed spaces in Manhattan School of Music and didn't notify folks, so when you got to the assigned auditorium on the invitation, you had to go back to the main desk and hope they knew where the recital actually was happening. After the ordeal of finding the original auditorium and finding the recital was elsewhere, I was not happy. The actual recital, to which I was late, was a lot of fun.

I would have liked DIE FLEDERMAUS more with less prancy choreography in the numbers and lyrics in English. It's silly in the Act One Finale to have Frank the jailer say to Alfred "Come with me, please" and have the tenor sing back to him "trink mit mir." Oy! And if I were Rosalinda, I'd ask the director, what do you want, me singing this wonderful czardas very well, or the four dancers prancing behind me while I'm working my ass off?"

The cast was very good and the orchestra played beautifully. The wonderful "Bruderlein Schwesterlein" sequence of the Act Two Finale was glorious and moving.

I haven't either!  That's pretty cool!

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We are back from Lima, OH, where it was announced that, effective May 17, 2009, my DH will be the permanent vicar at Holy Nativity Anglican Church.  They have not had an assigned pastor for a couple of years and are very glad to have someone who will be shepherding them, even from afar.

Congrats to DH Richard!

(How far is the commute?)

As for the flu epidemic... As DR DER BRUCER already stated, the piece of paper labels it an "emergency", so...  I did do some reading up on the situation, and the "emergency" is more for the sake of preparedness than anything else.  Some of the news reports I read likened it too a severe weather warning - like for a flood.  In other words, it will happen, but the degree of the "damage" is still to be determined.

However, as DR BER BRUCER also mentioned, since swine flu is "the flu" there could have been cases already going around, but just never diagnosed as "swine flu".  Some people may still be in the midst of it, and other may have already recovered.  -And I have a friend who was dealing with flu-like symptoms last week, and now he's wondering if it's possible that he might have had the "swine flu".  -And he lives in one of the affected areas, so...

Again, better to be cautious at this point and time. The flu can spread very fast, basically exponentially, so...

Stay healthy! Wash your hands!  And no kissing! ;)

...And right before I gave the last downbeat, I did get a little choked up... And even held the penultimate beat just for a split second longer to make it last just that much longer...

And, now... I pack.

Laters..

Thank you.  I'm fine so far.  My stress level has gone down since I have Sheena with me.

I took her to the dog park today and we had "Mini Me" Sheena there.  Then someone came with a male dog that looked like her as well.

Wish I had my camera with me.  It was so cute--they looked like a family, Mom, Dad and Child.   Except the "child" was 2 so already grown up.

But they had the same white marks on their chests, same curve of the tail and on the little one the same white mark on the back right foot.

I trust you were wiser than some posters and did NOT wear sandals to the dog park :)

Hi Danise :) How are you?

Doing ok.  How is everyone here?

I had to change my cell phone to unlimited minutes.  With all the phone calls I've had to make ( and get) it only made sense.

I spent over $60.00 in two weeks when it would have cost me $55 for the month so I changed plans.

There's no contract so I change it back when things calm down.

Thank you to DRs Jane, George, and Jose for the congrats for DH Richard.  The commute is 2 hours each way, which would be more of a shock to our systems if we hadn't already been commuting an hour each way to attend church in Cincinnati for the past several years.

Danise I'm pleasantly surprised you didn't need to sign a new contract.

Virgin phones are "Pay as you go".  This was just one of the choices.

Of course, I didn't bother with text messages, data, etc.   Just voice.
