So... Here's the short list:
Central Park - Gorgeous afternoon!
East Village/St. Mark's Place - Dinner at Kenka, a Japanese place. There were portraits of classic Japanese movie stars along the wall, and old Pachinko machines. Fun atmosphere, a huge menu (both in size and offerings), and make-your-own cotton candy for dessert - they give you a small cup of the sugar to pour into the machine. I believe I will take DR MBarnum here the next time her visits NYC.
Union Square - A Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake at
StandAnd, most importantly, I experienced all of the above with some friends - old and new. *And since none of them had been to Stand before... After they had either the Toasted Marshmallow Shake or the Apple Pie Shake, well... "The Enabler" strikes again!

*And the Apple Pie Shake is basically a piece of apple pie dumped into a blender with some ice cream and milk. Truly decadent and tasty.
