Well, you've read the notes, you've snacked on the notes, which were fruity, and now it is time for you to post until the fruity cows come home.

DR JOSE is in Chicago.

Loved the pic of Sherlock and his progenitor.

And the story of DR FRANCOIS and the French Disneyland.

Today is of course a workday.  Oh well.

Chilling murders?

In a movie, I usually look away.  I'm not much for blood & guts.

But, if I had to choose one, it would certainly be Janet Leigh's death in PSYCHO, closely followed by Martin Balsam's.

DR MattH re: Ghost Whisperer (no spoilers). What did you think of the little girl who was the guest star? I absolutely love her. She is one of my favorite child actresses. She used to play Abby on The Young & The Restless. But they SORAs (aged) her character to 16. Such a bummer. I thought she was good last night.

Tonight is the surprise 65th birthday party for my sister's mother-in-law.  Hopefully it will still be a surprise. I had told my niece (i thought she knew) because we were reading a story about surprise parties. And she didn't understand what that meant. So i explained that my party wasn't a surprise because i knew about it. But that lola's party was.

Good thing she didn't blab it to lola on the phone when she wished her happy birthday on thursday! :)

Unfortunately for me it won't be a home cooked party. I am very fond of filipino food. For some reason her friends decided to have it a fancy hotel with an expensive buffet.

To bookend FJL's BD greetings with accounts of chilling murders seems a bit unseemly on my part, but here goes for TOD:

For me, murders that involve torture are the ones hardest to watch (make me cringe and look away and hide my eyes) -- like in the Saw movies -- some of the most disturbing, and you don't even see them committed, you see what the cops see when they walk in, are the ones in the movie Seven (haunting, creepy, gruesome, shocking, etc., etc.).

Good morning, all!My birthday card to our DR FJL was sent earlier than expected so he got my wishes last night! I hope he's having a wonderful day.

I have three things to accomplish beyond my work goals tday:
  1. walk to pharmacy
  2. laundry
  3. market

Other than that, I need to proofread and finish "The Cardinal" film score suite by tomorrow night. When that is finished, I can either begin the vocal score to Moross' Civil War show GENTLEMEN BE SEATED or jump back to MOST HAPPY FELLA.

First up, laundry. So, excelsior!

He's at the finger piano (with his sax). Wonder if he got cast for the reading of the First Nudie Musical?

My brother and sister-in-law will be driving in from New Jersey and we're spending some time with them.

In most years past, my parents have been in from Florida by May 2, but this year they're not coming to New York until early June.

She was excellent. For the episode to work, you had to believe the little girl could hear those voices and be concerned. She was thoroughly convincing.

The show also contained one big BOO moment that made me jump in my chair.
