So it really is all about the food.  ;)

Well, we have people coming from Lima who will have been on the road since 6am, so by noon, for them, yes, it will be all about the food!

I try quoting someone....the quote pops up and then disappears and the Quick Reply box is just an empty place.

Worked fine.

Oh, cool! TDF is on Twitter!  And they're "tweeting" each day's TKTS availability and discounts:

#tkts A NERVOUS SMILE,ALTAR BOYZ,FUERZA BRUTA,ROOMS: A ROCK MUSICAL,SHANGHAI GESTURE,STOMP,THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES,THE TOXIC AVENGER

#tkts AVE Q,EXIT THE KING,GOD OF CARNAGE,GUYS & DOLLS,IN THE HEIGHTS-40%,MARY POPPINS,REASONS TO BE PRETTY,SOUTH PACIFIC-30%

*And remember, you can just sign up and follow and not "tweet" if you so desire.

And speaking of the weather...

I just checked the forecast for Manila:

The average High temp: 90℉
The average Low: 80℉
Scattered thunderstorms
Average humidity: 60%

-For all 10 days that I will be there!

However, it will be an easy trip to pack for: t-shirts, shorts, underwear, socks, sneakers and flip-flops.  -And a baseball cap and umbrella.

Take something in case it turns cool.  With all that humidity, pack extra t-shirts.

In case I don't get a chance to comment before you leave.....

SAFE & EASY TRAVELS & A FANTASTIC TRIP VIBES!

Dear Jane,  (from yesterday) I don't have a clue.  Thinking about ordering a copy from Europe, and then we'll see.

Well, I'm off.  I'm going to meet my friend Margo at Red Robin, where I can use my free birthday burger e-mail coupon.  Then, we'll have dessert. :D

Have a good rest of the evening, all!

DR KERRY I did not know the history of the filming of RICH AND FAMOUS and party scene filmed at the home of Lon McCallister.....is he in the scene?

Jack, in answer to your question from last night, I don't think Lon McCallister is in the scene, but there are couple of extras that could be him. I wouldn't be surprised, at any rate.

What I remember about "Rich and Famous" is the first review I read...and the critic mocking the seduction scene between Bissett and Lattanzi stating that it was very unbelievable that Ms. Bissett would ever be so desperate for sexual attention as to pick up someone so obviously "not" her type (i.e., "not heterosexual" was the implication).  When I saw the movie, I found myself in complete agreement.

They were implying the actor was not heterosexual or the character was not?

Both.

And, somehow, I managed to pack my luggage in about 15 minutes.  -It's amazing how much lighter my bag is when it doesn't contain three pairs of jeans.

Well, I was completely wrong about the weather as another nice rain shower descended on us and we got another good wetting.

My yard will be like a jungle by the time it dries out and I need to mow. Argh!

One of my Blu-ray players informed me that an update was available, so I lost some time tonight waiting for the update to download into the player for new firmware.
