Does this CD cover strike anyone as odd:

I would think that Merman would just as soon push a piano up a staircase before she would sit down at one.

She obviously thinks she starting her car up.

Larry is 2 posts away from a major milestone.

Now I'm self-conscious about it!

Make it a good one, DR Elmore!

All in the cause of a good laugh! DR FJL, Andy Borowitz is my latest friend on Facebook. I just told him all about you and sent him the YouTube clip of "Fish!"

Did you know that Southwest Airlines doesn't charge a change fee?  I was pleasantly surprised when I had to change my plans and go to the conference I'm attending in Vegas next month a day early

I didn't.  That is very, very nice.

Actually, the new fare was $29 less than the old fare (they are the internet discount fares) so I have $29 in credit for future travel.

Yes, DR JMK, now that you mention it - it does look like a Photo Shop of the famous album:

Frances Farmer Swings Fats Domino

Somebody gave it 2 1/2 stars here

I am reading Mr Dale Wasserman's book about MAN OF LA MANCHA.  He certainly didn't think much of Joe Darian taking money for lyrics written using Wasserman's text.

Hi Ginny.

I finished reading HOTEL AT THE CORNER OF BITTER & SWEET.  I fell in love with the title & it didn't disappoint.  I highly recommend the book.  If it were out in paperback I might make it my next book group selection.

Yup.  I'm looking forward to this trip.  I'm going to be the Iowa vice chair of our local Iowa/Nebraska chapter and part of the training is the day before I was planning to be there.  It will be a great time to get involved in the national immigration group like I have been with the criminal defense lawyers.   Plus I think I can survive 4 nights at the Palazzo.   Now that Callie isn't on prednisolone anymore, I won't worry as much about leaving her that long with the cat sitter.

Well, I'm back from Fry's and a new TV will be delivered tomorrow at one.  It was a very difficult decision - I'm very much a Mitsubishi kind of guy, but looking at the 73 and even the 65 inch DLP and comparing them to the 55 inch Samsung LCD and LED there was just no comparison - the Samsung blew it away and had one of the most stunning pictures I've ever seen.  So, I went down in size but, I think, up in quality and got the LED, which seemed marginally better than the LCD AND came with a free Blu-Ray player.  So, BK is Blu-Ray, at long last.  They'll hook up the player and TV upon delivery and then my guy will come out and do all the receiver wiring, maybe on Saturday.  I can't tell you how beautiful this TV image is.  Or, I'll be able to show you because I'll shoot it with my hi-def little Flip camera.

I only own one 7" plasma screen kitchen TV.  That's enough for me, and moveable to whatever room I'm in.

Movies just go into the IMAC.

Silly I know. But happy.

Canter's, Art's Deli, Jerry's Deli, all within a few minutes of here.  Go to each at lease a couple of times a year (since 1965).

Potato pancakes with applesauce.

Had a full night of interesting TV. I began by watching the second MEDIUM episode from last night. Very unusual show with Jeffrey Tambor as the principal guest star. The ending seemed very abrupt, and I figured out about the murderer before it was revealed. Still didn't blunt my enjoyment of the episode.
