I thought about seeing Jersey Boys in Vegas. It's at the Palazzo where I was staying, but I opted for Phantom. I'm glad I did. I'm still thinking about that theater. What a place.

As was Bach... Beethoven... Mahler... Richard Rogers... Stephen Sondheim...

I never found them to be so. Herman has never been my favourite, but next to some of the stuff I've seen (Rock of Ages? Please! It's not even good Rock 'n' Roll), I'm getting nostalgic for him.

I set my DVR to record a half hour longer. That way, it's all on one recording and there won't be a break when I don't want there to be one.

Great speech by Ms. Ripley! Good win. So far I think it the most interesting musical I've seen tonight. Though I think Billy Elliott is probably pretty good. Liked Best Actor musical win.

There was a reason why you didn't see him during the last hour of the broadcast.

*Apparently, in rehearsal, he sang some dummy lyrics - courtesy of Thomas Meehan - and the musical arrangement was done by Marc Shaiman.

It was a teaser to get people to stay tuned for the rest of the ceremony. -And also to give a chance for the casts of all the musicals - nominated and not nominated - to get on stage.
