DR Jose - LOL!  I often look for clues in our books for what to serve at meetings - Dorothy Parker=martinis and bar snacks, Dorothy Sayers=sherry and biscuits.

Well, after reading the book and seeing the movie, you may need a few cocktails and Prozac. I know I did.  -Of course, I saw it back to back with "The Wrestler", so...

Wow!  That was a brief, but noisy thunder storm.  That will teach me to make jokes about elmore's age.

West Side Story in stereo - or was it processed?  Was it originally released in stereo?

Real stereo!

DR JOSE - what a nice link.....Merlin the Magickal Kat spent most of the afternoon sitting on my lap at work while I worked on the computer.....he would reach up now and then to claw my chest through my shirt....and now, it doesn't even matter.

I'm just wondering if during my wanderings in the East Village if I ever missed an opportunity to meet Pretty Boy.

You would never miss an opportunity for that!

I am filing my weekly unemployment claim online.  Everyone logs in at the same time, so it takes about 45 minutes to go through the three screens.

I am self-medicating with a red velvet cupcake from Crumbs.     :)

It beats standing 2 hours in a long line.

I enjoyed it, thank you.  I've mentioned this before, my uncle graduated high school with Ray Bradbury.  It is very likely my father & uncle were at the library, back then, at the same time.

DR Ginny - Does DH Richard keep some sort of archive of his sermons? Does the church archive sermons either in print, audio or video?

Yes, DR Jane, he writes all his sermons on the computer, so they're archived digitally.  No audio or video - we're Anglican.

I guess that could be the title of an upcoming farce,

"No Audio or Video, Please, We're Anglican."

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I was seriously considering heading back out for another short walk since the rain had stopped again.  Of course, as soon I put on my shoes, the latest downpour started.  UGH!

I'm really thinking of heading to Home Depot tomorrow and buying some full-spectrum light bulbs. Ich habe genug!

We spoke to Craig today & he complained about the days of rain.  I then spoke to a friend who complained about the rain.  She said she broke her foot & the rain makes it very difficult for her to go anywhere fun.

Yes, thanks, DR Jose.  I wonder if Mr. Bradbury would like to come to Ohio to fight for our libraries.  The governor has proposed balancing the state budget by slashing library funding.

I drove to my parents' house today and spent the day fixing a printer for my dad (He was trying to put the ink cartridge in the wrong place)  Set up the printer he got to replce the "broken" printer, got them a new ottoman he can use when he has his knee surgery later this week. Set up another cordless phone for them,. Backed up his old laptop and did various other odds and ends for them.

On the drive back there was a tornado warning not that far from where I was. I hit the driving rain and just kept going until I got out of the storm cell.  It was rainy both going there and coming home, but I'm really glad I went

Yes, they do.  They recently had a slew of them in their 2 @ $25.00 Blu-Ray bin - I chose IRONMAN and JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH (3-D).
