The printer repairman just called. The part he broke fixing the machine has to be ordered from Japan. Four to six weeks before said part arrives.

Does that mean you're off the hook for printing bulletins and neswletters for a few weeks?

I wonder if anyone still uses mimeograph machines?

No. It's the stapler that doesn't work. It hasn't worked in over a year. I am just insisting that they fix it because we pay that maintenance contract. My hope is that they will offer a newer machine at a better rate, since they can't seem to fix this one.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I found myself once again unexpectedly sucked into the Wimbledon coverage.

DR elmore - That really does suck big time!  Is there any chance that you could get some of those overdraft charges reversed? Just take two or three deep breaths.  Go down to your bank. Take two or three deep breaths. Go into your bank. Take two or three deep breaths. Ask to speak to a manager. Take two or three deep breaths...

If only for that quasi-vapor high. ;)

Steve and Eydie  singing "Hallelujah" was in 1979.  Does it qualify as disco?

I'm up - lots of hammering and yammering this morning.

I feel your pain!  The roofers are pounding away right above me!!

I meant to comment on the pictures you posted. YoW! What a mess! But I'm glad you could get in and out with relative ease and safety.

Definitely!  Today, the front was totally clear (except for the big truck blocking the way to the left), so there was no trouble leaving my place.  My back yard, however... ::)

They woke me up again this morning to ask if they could put a tarp over my back yard, which I said they could and they did.

Or was "Hallelujah" in the early 1980's?

WHOA!

Just tracking some Tweets to see how long the line was/is for Shakespeare in the Park is today.  Apparently, about 1000 people were already in line by 8:00 this morning.  Hmmm...  Maybe Virtual Line will be the way to go.

"Groove Is In the Heart" -- by Deee-lite--does that count as disco?

I'm not sure if anybody else watched last week's SUPERSTARS (ABC). I wasn't planning on watching. But there was nothing else on tv and i wanted to see Max (from DANCING WITH THE STARS). It wasn't bad, except that i wish i knew more of the people involved better. Most of the celebs i wouldn't even consider celebs.

I will probably record it tonight and ff thru the interesting parts.

It's been raining here a lot. The forecast shows thunderstorms and high humidity every day this week. I really hope that it stops tomorrow night for Canada Day. But it looks doubtful.

Can you make a safe little area for your cat while you are gone?  Somewhere less stressful, a bit quieter, and away from a falling ceiling?

Vibes while you go through this!

Thanks, Jane.  I didn't open any of my blinds and Ebonie found a spot in the clothes that I had on the floor, away from everything.  I took a couple of pictures.  I'll post one later tonight.  She's so cute!  Scared, but cute. :D

Well...

Apparently the line-regulator at the Delacorte was telling people who arrived after 7:30am that they may not get tickets to Twelfth Night.

And they had people starting to line up last night at 1:00am! The line was already past the "The End" was wrapped around the reservoir by 9:00am today.

Hmmm...

I just looked at the new HTF discussion board - it's horrible.  Slow as molasses and weird-looking and very unfriendly.  Won't be going there much anymore.

Hello, all! I'm going over to see my bank branch manager very shortly. I was just there and she was out to lunch. I'm home, very irritated today, with the bank and the fact that the buses, now that they've raised the fare, have really lowered the service. and number of buses. I want to carry a black magic marker and scrawl "LIES!" all over the posted bus schedules.

DR Matt H, no, no records of sales in the McGlinnventory yet, but there are so many boxes yet, you never know what I may discover. If I do come across anythoing, I'll let you know.
